Q: Why is Script y shown here? I tried it with AP and it didn't work.

A: Scripts are shown here because they have "This works with AP" noted in the first post or one of the last page or so of replies.
If you have problems with a script please post on the individual thread in question. Bugs and glitches may be related to other scripts and not to use of X3 AP. Obviously you can post on this thread as well to let me know but I can't fix them.

Hotkey Manager I have not installed on its own, but it is part of the plugin manager as far as I know

Custom wing manager I am using Spk v2 from the linked page.

NICE Installed manually, I could not get it to work when installed with the plugin manager.

Combat SQUASH Mine Launcher is compatible.
This list might be kind of irritating to new guys, since most scripts will work with AP as there have been little changes to how scripts work. That's why many people don't add it to their threads... The only thing that can happen is that they are obsolete...

Yeah, but quite a few of them are obsolete, or have no working download links. There's also, IMO, a big difference between "most" TC scripts being AP compatible vs. all TC scripts being compatible.

Yeah, "irritating" is a nice way of saying it. "Mostly wrong" would be another. ;)

Almost all TC scripts work with AP. The very few that do not are usually marked, either in the OP or in last couple of pages of the thread.

Mods are different; those you need to be more careful about.

The key differentiator is whether the package modifies vanilla files.

The sticky "[Index] Community Script & Mod Download Library for X3: Terran Conflict" is the second thread in this forum and will be one of the first ports of call for new players of X3 AP. It's also badly out of date and ignoring issues like AP compatibility isn't going to improve things.

I think I've been perfectly clear in the wording in the first post of this thread. I have never said that the "not known to be compatible" scripts / mods are certain to NOT work with AP.

However I don't see what's wrong with wanting to check. If nothing else I'll be able to weed out those scripts / mods that have no download links, or have been replaced by later works, or are stated _not_ to work with X3 AP (or, indeed, have been stated not to work with later versions of X3 TC).

Yeah, that's the same data as in the link I mentioned earlier. I have included/checked all the data from the first post in that thread.

[EDIT] Note that I have now added links to 12 AP-compatible scripts/mods not included in the Community Script & Mod Index. (See bottom of first post).
