Introduction:
After a many capital ship captains complained about the lack of a laser display in their cockpit, Krahanos Corporation's IT division was employed to remedy this problem by developing an easy to use display that can be activated in the middle of a combat situation. This plugin is composed of a single hotkey that allows you to view critical information about either your ship, or your current target.

Installation: Image
Uninstallation:
  • Open the script editor
  • Run the script j754.sds.uninstall
  • Close the game and if you are using the plugin manager use it to uninstall the package. If you are using the zip version remove these files:
    • - scripts\lib.gz.multi.hotkey.xml
      - scripts\j754.sds.stats.xml
      - scripts\setup.j754.sds.xml
      - scripts\j754.sds.display.xml
      - scripts\j754.sds.uninstall.xml
      - scripts\j754.sds.format.string.xml
      - t\9990-L044.xml
    If you restart the game before you remove the files but after the uninstallation script is run the plugin will reinstall itself on the next game load.

Instructions:
This script displays the laser and shield energy as well of hull strength based of a selected ship in a subtitle. This ship is determined by the amount of times the hotkey is pressed. The different things that can happen are:
1 Key Press: Shows your ships current statistics in a subtitle for 4 seconds with no updates.
2 Key Presses: Shows your current targets current statistics in a subtitle for 4 seconds with no updates.
3 Key Presss: Shows your ships current statistics in a subtitle for 10 seconds with the subtitle updating every half second.
4 Key Presses: Shows your current targets current statistics in a subtitle for 10 seconds with the subtitle updating every half second.

NEW: The plugin now displays the targeted ships name in the subtitle. These are coloured to match the relation to the targetted ship. The colours are:
Green: Friendly
Yellow: Neutral
Red: Enemy

NEW:
Encyclopedia article in the "Information" section giving instructions about the plugin.

Works just how you described, hasn't crashed XRM yet and is very useful! 10/10! Great work!

Feedback? I'd have the script display the name of the ship you've targeted, just to make sure you know at all times what is being updated. Say you target a ship in a tense fight and forget which one you had originally marked.

I will put that change in tommorow.

What game are you using? As I have only tested it on AP so i don't know if it works on TC

Version 1.1 is now released.
