To install, use Cycrow's Plugin Manager.

:arrow: Description:
  • Weapons Quickswap adds the following bindable hotkeys under Controls > Interface > Extensions:
    • - WQS - Assign Weapon Profile 1
      - WQS - Assign Weapon Profile 2
      - WQS - Assign Weapon Profile 3
      - WQS - Select Weapon Profile 1
      - WQS - Select Weapon Profile 2
      - WQS - Select Weapon Profile 3
    Using an Assign hotkey will save your currently equipped weapons, both in the main weapons battery and all of your turrets.

    Using a Select hotkey will equip the weapons that you've saved back on to your ship. The swap takes approximately 1 second.

    Each ship that you fly can have its own unique set of 3 weapons profiles.
:arrow: Compatibility:
  • Tested and working with X3TC, X3AP, X3AP+LU, and X3AP+LU+Mayhem.
:arrow: Future Plans:
  • Going to try to save Turret Orders, in addition to the equipped weapons. It's a tough one though.
:arrow: Technical:
  • Weapons Quickswap uses Text File and Text Page 7424.
:arrow: Uninstall:
  • Just Disable or Uninstall through Cycrow's Plugin Manager.

    If you installed manually through the zip file, then open the Script Editor and run "plugin.tatakau.wqs.hotkey.off", save your game, and then delete the script and t files.

  • 1.05 - 2018.07.15
    • - Modified hotkey registration to be able to use Cycrow's Hotkey Manager, if it is installed.

    1.04 - 2018.07.15
    • - Weapons loadouts are now saved per-ship.
      - Fixed bug affecting ships with more than 8 laser slots in a turret.
      - Changed t-file from 8500 to 7424, due to conflict with Litcube's Universe

    1.03 - 2009.03.03
    • - Added turret support.

    1.02 - 2008.11.01
    • - Script optimization.

    1.01 - 2008.10.25
    • - Changed text page and file to 8500.

    1.00 - 2008.10.25
    • - Initial release.

Can't get it to work on my Osaka

Hi!

Any idea why I can't get it to work on my Osaka? It works great on my M3 Scimitar, but when I try it on my Osaka I get no confirmation sound or weapons change when I select the Weapons group. I only get a confirmation sound when I assign.

Would that be the Osaka that has no guns to switch...just turrets.

It's the M2 Osaka with 6 turrets and a total of 48 bays

The Clue is in the text :)

It doesn't work on turrets.

Thats a fantastic script.

It would be even better if you could store your weapon layout for different ships (I often switch between a Chimera and the Vidar).
There was a script in X3R that did that - it might give you some inspiration to peek into it.
The Author was "Bunny" and the Name was just "Weapons Changer".

Thanks a bunch for the great script! Pain in the butt switching weapons based on whether the enemy is a Kha'ak scout or similar fast ship, or an M6 boat. Cheers!

Hmmm... I suppose I could add support for turrets pretty easily. Adding support for multiple ships would be a little more difficult, but definitely doable.

I'll look into it tonight after work.

An aside: 12 forward Ion Cannons do some seriously retarded damage.

Awesome script! Would this by any chance work for X3 reunion? :roll:

If not, would it be easy to convert? Or is there a script that does that already?

EDIT: I checked out Bunny's weapon swap script and it does not seem to store main weapon setups. That's what I'm looking for.

Ok, I'm afraid to say i am having a problem with this, i can't find the hotkeys to to enable me to set and access groups, any ideas? :?
