This is what I use:

Mercantilism Galactic Warfare
  • LV's Race Response Fleets
    Each race will defend itself with a network of defense ships. Optionally, invasions and sector takeover can be enabled, among other unique features.
    Definitely a must have.


    ThisIsHarsh's Military Base Response Revamp
    Similar to RRF, this allows each race to defend itself using it's Military Bases. This can be enabled for the Xenon as well. Optionally, invasions and sector takeover can be enabled, among other unique features.

    It is rumored that the above two scripts conflict with eachother, however I have run a test over several hours and had no CTDs or strange occurances, save for an odd message or log entry now and again.

hey lads! ive been playing this game for not so long,,, but.
All this talk about mods makes me wanna piff up the game some.
So im gonna tell u what i would like in an mod an i was hoping to get an list with mods you are using that work well with eachother :D

So. i would like more ships, better graphic/effects, more and bigger mission, if its possible to make the world little more 'alive'' more random fights, better menu' maybe some npc wars?

I was going to wait for that extended mod' but its seems like its never getting done so :D

so hit me up with your mod lists :D and since im an noob, i would be extra glad if you could write what programs needed for install and so on :D

hm same here, which mods to install? and how to install?

is Improved Race better than Race Response Fleet?

I saw a thread about XSP ships, what are they and how to install them?

how can I know which mod conflicted with which?

please help us!

I am looking for a mod or something that will balance things out.

OSS combat is differnt than being IS and watch your ships lay waste to the opposition.

When your OSS then some Argon buster comes along and blows your destroyer or OWP out of the sky.

This is very annoying.

Has anybody come up with a mod that gives your ships the same firepower that is like if your IS when your halfway across the map?


Has anybody tried to come up with a solution whn a improvement(Ship upgrade) that links your personal ship with your other ships??
Basicly making it looks like your in system with your Guarding ship when your halfway around the map?
You think a hero is some weird sandwitch and not a guy attacking a Xeno J with a kestrel.

Sir.. I said .. A guy attacking a J with a kestrel is the sandwitch.

A must have, IMO. The cheat I can't live without is overtuning my spacecraft's engines. Also very useful when testing other scripts/mods

2. [2012-09-01][AP][Mod]minimax better performance & playability while keeping atmosphere by Schabernack
Along with 'rock removal' should make the game a lot smoother to play.

3. [2010-07-26][TC/AP]Terran Revitalization Project by eldyranx3 ; Adds missing Terran Stations, Marines, Main Operating Base, Ease of Terran Travel, and a new ATF Plot.
I like playing Terran, so this is a must

4. [2012-06-21][TC/AP]Terran Police Licence by X2-Illuminatus; Adds a Terran police licence to the game
When playing a Terran start I think this is needed on principle

5. [2011-04-30][TC/AP]Bounce by Litcube ; Player AI Autopilot Fix
Another must have script. In Sector (IS) allies die like flies without this.

6. [2009-12-10][TC/AP]Extended Communication System by Serial Kicked ; News/BBS and Comm Dialogs
Required for a couple of other scripts.

7. [2009-10-04][TC/AP]Galactic News System by the XTC Team; New BBS-system
Required for a number of other scripts

8. [2009-07-30][TC/AP]Military Base Response revamp by ThisIsHarsh ; Intelligent and interactive military recon, patrol and response
Looks like it should make things more interesting

xxx. [2010-09-11]No Station Wrecks by djrygar / ThisIsHarsh
Possibly not working?

10. [2010-07-22][TC/AP]Pirate Guild 3 by Serial Kicked ; Smarter Pirates
The vanilla Pirate Guild bases are very sad indeed

More action. I want to see how this works in practise in X3 AP

12. [2010-07-01][TC/AP]Yaki Armada 2 by Serial Kicked ; Makes Yaki smarter and stronger
Compatible with Pirate Guild 3

13. [2008-12-16][TC/AP]Remove Rocks from Universe by Graxster
This really tidies up the 'rocky' sectors. Good for FPS as well.

14. [2009-08-14][TC/AP]HKP Transponder Interface Software by ChaosRas ; Locates and maps non-hostile stations in ship sector
Should save a lot of time when exploring / travelling.

15. [2012-10-08][AP]Enable Impossible Mission Difficulty by silentdeth/morbideth ; Adds missions of impossible difficulty to the game.
Why wouldn't you want this? :P

16. [2009-09-15][TC/AP]Add Missing Ware Selling Locations by Mysterial ; Adds several wares to docks that weren't in any at all
Not a big deal, but could be useful.

17. [2008-12-16][TC/AP]SpaceLootTransporter by Huefte ; Collect wares (by teleport)
I don't have the patience to collect wares manually. Now if only it worked for collectable rocks. BTW, collected wares go 'BOOM' which is a bit of a shock the first time it happens.

18. [2008-12-16][TC/AP]Rotate and Move Objects by Graxster
I like to keep things tidy.

19. [2008-12-25][TC/AP]Square Galaxy Map by SunBlade ; altered GalaMap mesh
Should be easier to find your way around

20. [2008-10-27][TC/AP]AI Ship kills payout Bountyboost by LV
I think the Vanilla bounty on the bigger hostile ships is pretty pathetic.

21. [2010-04-02][TC/AP]Transporter trade by cyberfuzzie ; Trade with station via Transporter Device, ie without docking
Clunky, but functional. Now you can trade stuff without having to wonder whether your ship can dock or not.

22. [2008-12-16][TC/AP]Numeric Race Rank Titles by Gazz
I don't want to have to memorize dozens of titles to know when I'll be able to buy stuff!

23. [2012-04-10][AP]TSOG-AP by TEKing66 ; Adds ten new Terran only missions for X3AP
More stuff for the Terran start

Fixes a big problem with Vanilla HQ

Might be useful

29. [2010-08-07][TC/AP]Memia AutoScan Asteroids by Memia ; Automatically scans any asteroids in range of the mineral scanner (Needs editing to work in AP).

Looks interesting... but is it only compatible with XRM games?

I got the first 15 installed with no problem, but then hit a small snag.

Thanks. I don't think I'll be adding any extra ones to my list yet, but there are certainly some interesting ones to consider there.

Hello.
I'm a newbie in X games, just starting to learn how to play.
I'm looking for graphic mods. Just to extend basic, visual pleasure. I bought X3 Terran Warpack on GOG, can you tell me which cockpit, ship textures and "realistic space" mods are the best? You know, just stuff to improve visuals (and GUI too...).
