Up until now the principle source of minerals for factories has been the large mining complexes, with mobile mining left to a few dedicated souls. Now, with the introduction of the Mobile Mining / Mineral Collection Software factories and free traders alike can easily tap the resources of the smaller asteroid debris in sectors.
Of course just flying in open space can be dangerous, but with the new ability to defend a position, setting up sentries to protect your mining ships has never been easier.
The Bonus Package version 3.01.07 is now available for download in the download section and on Steam.

the bonus pack is a collection of scripts, new ships can not be added via scripts, so, no, there will be no new ships or anything like that in the bonus pack

I now that .I was talking about pirate ships or yaki. like it was in previous bonus pack(pirate nova raider)
Thanks for the effort. I will never use any of it as the whole additional aspects has become way too complicated and puts me right off. I have gone back to vanilla.
Thanks to the scripters and egosoft, great effort to keep adding extra content to to an already great game. I like the sound of the mobile mining / Mineral collection software and it will probably be tested as soon as possible.
