There's quite a bit of information out there. The only problem is that you'll have to be fluent in german to understand any of it. Search for X3:TC in youtube and you'll see.Electro wrote:Usually lack of info is a bad sign, i would at least expect a decent amount of detailed info within the weeks around release otherwise how will we know what we're buying?
I suspect it will be more of them same though and that's not so good, hope im wrong though, i won't be buying until i know, im not making the same mistake as i did with x3, which only got good after a year and with the help of some of the bigger mods around.
The point is, unless you have played XBTF and paid a lot of attention to the reasons why you had to do certain missions, specifically, destroying the SPP's and shipyard so that the SPP's cant be replaced, with the missions there, you get the feeling that the Xenon M0 wasnt just a planet destroyer, it was also a TL class ship and a carrier (ships kept launching from it, maybe a mobile shipyard, as in makes ships) i cant remember it having much in the way of guns though, this is the original way of having a M0, add to this the ship moved, where the Khaak one sat still, if you look at the comparisons then neither of them were the same for one thing, planet destroyerHavner wrote:That's not the point. The one you bought in XTM was not M0 in terms of X universe. It was just overgrowth M1/M2. M0 in X universe are planet killers and as such they were not included in XTM as player controlled ships. And like Cycrow wrote if ES would include them they'd have to be planet killers like in the rest of official X lore. And as planets are not really something you can interact with they'd be pointless. That's what he meant.mrbadger wrote:I bought one in XTM. They are pretty to look at but useless as a ship as it turns out. They are little more then stations you can move (extremely slowly).Cycrow wrote:M0's will be pretty pointless tbh
i think they need to seriously redo the capital class ships, make them tougher, because one destroyer shoudl take on another for a pretty good long fight, not this charge and shoot first dodge more deal. i think adding battleships would be pretty fun! carriers are pretty good ATM, i think that they play the role they play, and are balanced, but if you can easily take out a destroyer in a carrier, theres obviously something wrong.bob hope wrote:The point is, unless you have played XBTF and paid a lot of attention to the reasons why you had to do certain missions, specifically, destroying the SPP's and shipyard so that the SPP's cant be replaced, with the missions there, you get the feeling that the Xenon M0 wasnt just a planet destroyer, it was also a TL class ship and a carrier (ships kept launching from it, maybe a mobile shipyard, as in makes ships) i cant remember it having much in the way of guns though, this is the original way of having a M0, add to this the ship moved, where the Khaak one sat still, if you look at the comparisons then neither of them were the same for one thing, planet destroyerHavner wrote:That's not the point. I usualy avoid spoilers, except the map.Al wrote:Dont you want to explore and find things for yourself? I'm going to cut down on my browsing the forum until I've completed the plot. Far too many spoilers will be posted if the other releases are anything to go by.
Neither Deepsilver or Egosoft is saying anything, despite the multiple request ( not just by megarthnok wrote:Where is the advertising for this game. I went to Deepsilver.com and you have to search for it to find out anything about it. Gaming sites don't have adds for it. Is it just because I am in the US, I am missing these adds? Or is Deepsilver not really hyping the game?
