First post says 0,0,1.5 which will be 1.5km above the sector centre.JAFA_NZ wrote:The 0,0,15 coordinate you mention is presumably 0m, 0m, 15km which is to say 15000m up from the center of the sector as presented when you 1st open the map.
This is a list of net profit per cargo unit per ship. yes you got 128M total when you sold it, but you paid 28 million for the ship in the first place. The list takes the theoretical max you could get for this ship full of niv and subtracts what you paid for it to give the net gain. the number after the name is the net gain per cargo unit.jc-desk1 wrote:here's another - fill up a tl near a navidium site , then send that baby to fill up a hulk tl in a shipyard, then sell the freakin hulk off. guess what I got for one of those you might ask? 128M/cr!Mohahahahaha

Eh I don't think anyone would call Niv mining cheating, the cheating part here perhap refer to the exploitation of you can indefinitely milk a single roid.Bill Huntington wrote: I've seen two posts in this thread recently talking about Niv mining as cheating, and some pilots apologizing for it.
Niv mining is part of the game!
That kind of reasoning is always very slippery.Mightysword wrote: Eh I don't think anyone would call Niv mining cheating, the cheating part here perhap refer to the exploitation of you can indefinitely milk a single roid.
Somehow I expected you would answer like that.deca.death wrote:That kind of reasoning is always very slippery.Mightysword wrote: Eh I don't think anyone would call Niv mining cheating, the cheating part here perhap refer to the exploitation of you can indefinitely milk a single roid.
For example, mines also milk same roid indefinitely. Bottom line is - it's part of game mechanics. Take it or leave it.
This game has many dubious and controversial practices that are called upon as imbalanced, unfair even cheating, yet, everybody seems to play it again and again as maniacs. From certain ships (springy) missiles that can falsely track other missiles, methods of selling (to EqDs via M5), game mechanics of boarding, apologizing that is supposedly too easy, rep system that can be easily "abused", SETA overnight that is "unfair" and ultimately, mobile mining and nvidium exploiting. Well guess what? All of mentioned practices are legitimate part of game and developers deliberately left them for player to sort out, giving player (too?)much of freedom over way that he wants to play his game. Which was brave move indeed, was it smart move also?Mightysword wrote: But hey, on your same token, it's SP so you shouldn't care what other people calling your game right? Making a tantrum over people calling it cheating means you care as much as the people doing it. Don't like their comment? Don't read it. Take it or leave it, right? :p
