No drone factories in 1.x saved games [BUG]

Once again, I'm sure Egosoft will fix this issue for 1.x saved games, once they become aware of it (it's the weekend, don't forget). Asking players to start from scratch in order to take advantage of a new feature is not something they're known for doing!

It's not a game stopping issue, so I intend to keep playing and trying out the new 2.0 stuff. I'm in no desperate hurry to set up a multitude of drone factories (although I do want to add them to my empire when I can).

NO ones selling MkII drone facs !?!?!

ok so none of my shipyards in game are selling MkII drone fac's ???

they are there in the list of what i can buy but 0 units of addvance drone fac for sale, so i can't buy one ?

any help plz ?

Changing the title wont help, except for potential info, best reporting in the tech support forum officially?

Who needs a MKII drone fac when buying a Keris fac is now an option? Plus MKII fighters drones are fugly (my opinion).

50% of the bugs in the X series have been there since day 1. They get transfered to every new version of the same buggy code.

I just waited 3 months for this patch so that maybe my patrols will actually attack enemy ships in sector they patrol...no they just fly around enjoying the scenery.

There is a certain thread in the sticky section where numerous people have asked the same qustion, every time the response came, the 2.0 patch will be save game compatible LMFAO, and now we have ship yards with no stock of new fabs. Unless of course you just start again and forget the 3 months of playing and empire building.

3 MONTHS wait, beta test this beta test that = same old problems. Egosoft are not able to learn from there mistakes.

I disagree, but you're entitled to your opinion.

I don't recall having a problem with patrols in X3:R, so if there's a problem in TC I believe it's new. I also imagine Egosoft will fix it.... eventually! Don't mistake me for an "Egosoft can do no wrong" guy - Personally I really think they dropped the ball on the TC release and that it required several more months Dev before it should have shipped. However, I've been a fan of X since the original and Egosoft provide some of the best post-release support I've seen from a company. Many other companies would have done little to no support post-release.

I'm not saying they're fast, but I believe they'll get to most of the issues eventually. ...and that statement remains true until time itself ends - if they're are still majors bugs at t = ∞, then it becomes false! ;)

Anyway, this is getting off topic - Drone factories do be broken!!

Thanks. I'd hate to do a bug report because it would come across like I'm having a right moan! Not having plenty of drones in my universe is nearly as game breaking as my broken PC.

If the modified tag doesn't scare you, cheat to "always keep factory/dock stocked" on the shipyard. Saves hunting for those "L" TS's too...

There's a mod for this?! I hate that shipyards are always out of "L" class boats!! It seems silly that the Argon Federation, etc. is ever short on any class of it's manufactured ships.
