Is it possible to have a button for looking at topics in threaded view or flat view as in THQ forum. As i'm on a 56k connection if there are going to be multiple posts in a topic with largish pics in, it will take an age to open them.
I like threaded view for the simple reason of being able to look at the first post and judging weather I want to check out the other posts related to it. Instead at the moment I have to wait for the topic page to open fully first.

I emplore you folks to eneble a threaded view for us of lesser connection speed.

I'm on 56k and find it as much of a pain as you do, but unfortunately threaded view isn't a standard phpBB feature--Helge programmed the threaded view on the old forum himself. Since this forum uses a new version of phpBB we have to wait for him to transfer his hack to the new version before we could use it here.

Of course, you could always go to http://www.phpbb.com/ and ask them why they don't support threaded view...

I'm on 56K and I don't have much trouble! If a pic is too big and not interesting, then I don't let it load, I read the text (which appears before pics on my one) and then go to the next page. If it loads, yay! If not, oh well.
