Collision Code is Preventing Solar Power Plants

The Terran keep asking to build SPPs in very tight places & all of them so far that I have seen have those massive solar panels that very far out in space a-round and no matter how i try to orient it using the num-pad the collision prevention code or feature stops it from being built :o
every time i get a mission for SPPs i make sure to save and dont buy the SPP until I have surveyed where it will be.

Had also the issue with a solar plant, the beacon was preventing me to actually place it. Cause you can't place the station "On" the beacon, but when they are very big ones, it's the only place you can put it actually lol.

Maybe remove the collision with the beacon so we can place the stations exactly in their place.

Is this something new? Because in AP you have to place it on the beacon or close enough for it to register.

You still need to place it close enough. But with a solar plant and it happened only with this station, putting it too close get your station to become red and not allowing you to place it cause the beacon is blocking. So i was thinking it might be the issue.
And i don't know if it was happening in AP never had the issue, but didn't built that many stations for other races either, especially not XL solar plants.

I remember it wasn't. Because there was always that grinding collision damage sound when I was building stations then.
I figure currently it's probably collision with something else by reading the OP.
Station bombing is nothing new though, wonder why they don't let you.

I figured out that SINCE the SPP is so huge you can use the NUM PAD to move it a-round so that it is NOT colliding so get it close by clicking 5 which will snap it to the beacon then move it far from it until it turns green however not too far just until it turns green so watch the SPP be sure to orient it 7, 9, 1, and 3 so that it fits and is not colliding with adjacent objects. Zooming in helps as well but grind on and make sure to save beforehand or else you'll eat a SPP and those Terran SPPs dont come cheap

Cycrow already made some adjustment to the collision related to beacons, should be in 1.2.
