strange 1.3 behaviour on upgrade

i was really worried with all the talk of red text saying spoiler etc - however when i upgraded something rather perculiar happened

I was running xai trading 1.1a and station accountant only in 1.2 and had 15 factories on extreme difficulty so fully expected the red text thingy. However i never got it.

But 1.3 has disabled both of the scripts.... xai trading is still for sale in the shipyards and my existing ships are still using it - but i cant command them to use it anymore - its just not in the menus - same with station accountant - its just not there.... i checked and reinstalled both scripts etc - made no difference - I was gonna remove them b4 upgrading to 1.3 anyway but for now ill just leave them be.

I think you need to start the script editor by typing in Thereshallbewings but this will then give you the Modified tag and if you want to remove it you'll have to follow Storm_Fronts advice in the MODIFIED tag removal thread.

I think it might be because the jumpdrive commands that ego put in are using some of the internal command IDs that those scripts were using, and have now been overwritten. This has always been a problem with using multiple scripts, there are only so many IDs to go around.

Are you sure about Station Accountant though? My 3.5 still works...

100% sure - does this mean however that as long as you dont open the script editor you can do what you like without flagging up a modified command?? If it does than i kinda seems a little silly and defeats the point of the modified flag in the first place??

Nope, because Ego figured that out, and so made it so the game won't actually PATCH to 1.3 without you opening the script editor IF you are using scripts. Iow, they WILL slap that banner on you!

No simple evasion tricks for you! Hahahahahahaha *cough*

hmm - however the evidence sais otherwise - i have 20 boron TS ships running xai 1.1 without any tricks - only prob is once they stop i cant restart them without the control interface - but evenso all id need to do is edit the script to use differnt control interface ids and it should work.

ill check it out and get back to ya.
