A bluescreen error is almost always a driver problem, and you can sometimes get a clue which one is causing it by going into your system settings and switching off automatic reboot on critical error. My first guess would be your bluetooth audio device.

Usually, part of the BSOD is the file that caused the error, have a look and see which one it is.

Another suggestion, run Verifier, and look for un-signed or old drivers, then remove or update them as needed.

CBJ posted the solution to that however, if you turn off the auto-reboot on critical errors then BSOD will stay up giving you a chance to note everything down before restarting.

get the WindowsXP SP3 update from MS

try to find some later SoundMax drivers
you may have to go to the mobo manufacturer's site
- as they are often machine-specific..

He's running XP64, SP2 is the most recent SP for that OS

in XP, its system properties (ie right click on my computer and goto properties, or via the control panel)

then goto Advanced -> Start up and Recovery. Then in the System Failure section, display Automatic Restart.

dont know if this is different or not in Vista
