Well I cannot help too much, maybe would be best to install clean TC, you did apply patches from standalone version to steam game, did you? Then you'll get standalone TC installation, I always have few copies of that, you never know when you will need your mod reinstalled from the ground or try some other complete overhaul mod. Then apply XRM, nothing more. Try game. Ad other mod, test again. Repeat until guilty part is found :)Captain Proton wrote:I've tried that each time. (roughly 6 times now I think). Twice it did load, once I could move my ship for about 30 seconds then it froze. The one other time I got to the cockpit view and then it just plain froze. would the job that I picked make a difference? i picked the OTAS operative 4 times and it froze each time. The other 2 times it loaded I had picked the anonymous Argon and the humble merchant.

I always play as OTAS Operative, both in TC and AP, so can't be that.
If your cats/dats are 18/19 then you have some cats/dats from something else as they should be 14 and 15 if you only have some scripts installed. Maybe there is something old left behind?
Try a fresh install, make sure cats/dats only go up to 13 and then install xrm to 14 and 15. Copy over scripts to tc folder, not addon, and then give it a shot with just pure xrm installed, nothing else.
Hold on just re-read your initial post... you trying to install this on top of Xtended mod?

Oh man when I installed XRM I chose that start for the first time. I loveee it. I've spent 2 of my 3 days in game inside the start ship <3Erenar wrote:I always play as OTAS Operative, both in TC and AP, so can't be that.
I'm begrudgingly adapting to my heavy hydra now but.. I just want a griffon and some tuning crates already.
Question- I've always been dependent on FAAs and have never used CFAs. Bugged is a hard thing to live down. How do they stand up in XRM? Would you put them on your Griffon? .. how would you outfit your griffon? Say you want it to be a M7 and under killer since in XRM fighting a M2/M1 would be very problematic with the griffon itself.

Thanks I didn't know that I may have had some erroneous cat/dat files. So I take it XRM and XTC aren't compatible?Erenar wrote:I always play as OTAS Operative, both in TC and AP, so can't be that.

Hehe no, they're 2 separate universe altering mods so would most definitely not play nicely together.... the conflicts would make a CPU cry.
1 Make 2 separate X folders, copy the fresh install with nothing added, into each. Rename one folder XRM, the other XTC.
2 Download the 2.7-3.2 patches and update both of the new copies (leave the original well alone now)
3 Install XRM to... xrm
4 Install XTC to... xtc
There you have 2 games you can switch between. Just set icons up on the desktop for both and you can play either one depending on how you feel.

They come in the inventory of maintenance pods and yes, they're about 5 to 10 times as fast at repairing than your laser depending on the size of the vessel you're repairing. Oh, they require quantum tubes.. but just 10 tubes will repair you a number of M2s. Ha, only downside is you have to actually enter the vehicle and do it yourself.

Please dear GOD let this compatability thing be posted on the first post in this thread.Black147 wrote:Paul:
I love the Immersive Environments mod for AP with XRM, but there are various ... issues ... trying to use that without an XRM adaptation. So I made one. That was great fun, lemme tell ya.
1. I merged the XRM AP map with the IEX map - ie the sector sun/background/planet changes from IEX are now in XRM.
2. I merged the Lensflare files (IEX uses it for the suns, XRM for ship trails) and edited the IEX Tsuns accordingly. I changed the IDs of the IEX parts, the XRM IDs remain the same.
I´m currently testing the map and setup, changes show up and no issues so far. Would you be interested in offering this as an optional compatibility download with XRM? I´d be glad to share it.

Where can I find a Paranid 1GJ shield factory? I have a station building mission for one and I was pretty sure I had explored the entire universe except for Terran space.. I was completely sure that I had explored all of Paranid space.
What gives, where can I find one?? *for sale.
A quick answer would be greatly appreciated

those split have the best M6 regarding speed vs protection vs weaponry, too bad their model and textures are quite ugly
although it can be said that it is odd that the split have destroyers that only get 4GJ of shields while their M6 are relatively just as heavy shielded as most other races M6
btw, if I buy an orbital shipyard in saturn, what will it give me? what about the orbital HQ?

If you have the Community Plugin Configuration menu installed you can do just that. I set mine to use both laser and shield energy, and not use energy cells.deca.death wrote:[The turbo booster is] certainly handy to have: here is what they should do - make it use shield energy.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

00044 is in the addon\mov folder
But, from a previous mistake of mine, if i had left the file in there and started a new game betty would fail (i think once she went to say one of the newly added items) and never hear from her again... only way to get her back was to restart a new game and make damn sure the file had been removed before starting hehe.
