Can i install scripts as well as this?

I want to install the MARS turrent control script and advanced jumpdrive, i'd recommend those be added to this as well.

Im trying some merging for myself, just to learn it.
But i cant seem to get it to work. I have some mods with ships in them i would like to have, so i extract the cat/dat files in separate folders and find the ships i want in the Tships files.
Then i copy the ships i want from there to the Tships i am going to end up with. I also merge the folders so all the models and such should be there. But when i try running the mod i cant find any of the ships! I am doing something wrong and i have no idea what it is :oops:

Use cycrows cheat index scripts to cheat one of the ships into your game, if they show up on the list and can be cheated into your game then they are setup correctly.

note,
It may take a good while for the game to start using them as npc ships.
You will need a script to load them into shipyards. I have no idea what needs to be written in a script to do that but looking at other mods will help you.

Thats how i check if they are in game, the cheat scripts that is. So i can gurantee that they are not there.
Is there a guide anywhere on how to merge?

I found a script that did just that (add to shipyard) a while ago, so thats no problem.

Now i have another problem... I get the ships into the game, but the cockpits in all ships, also vanilla, is inside the ships.

I had the same problem with most of the larger imported ships, I've no idea how to fix it so I just use those ones as part of my fleet as the weapons still seem to work etc.

Im having this problem in ALL ships :oops:

I would just like to say a HUGE thank-you to Apricot, Snowship, Cycrow
and anyone else who deserves a thank-you for this mod.

I am especially grateful to Cycrow for the plugin manager
and Apricot for many of his scripts that I use to enhance the game,
(I am sure you both get lots of thank-you's, here is one more !)

I'm a bit dense.. looked at all the dl files and could not see where the
Superbox version was..

As I understand it (someone correct me if i'm wrong),
the superbox is Egosoft's little project
and Apricotslice has put this mod together himself.

If Egosoft like it they may include it in their superbox and Apricot will do a non copyright version for the superbox.

I hope this helps.

Do you have a list of the "Apricot" ships and what models they use I am familiar with the earlier Mule, Gunbus, etc but the newer ones i am a little confused on.
I mainly ask with reguards to the Aran. Is there an "Apricot" Version of it?

The Marauder Shipyard by Teladidrone

has the Mobile Repair Ship. By any other name it is the Aran.
But take off your shoe and get your mad money. It isn't cheap.

Same here! Thanks all you guys, I only just discovered this bundle o'mods, ... i've been using it for a few days now and it's got most of what i want.

Perhaps i could suggest a couple of things to add to it?:

[BETA MOD]Immersive sector background/illumination.

- ok it's still in beta but i've been using it and think it's really good. Overall seems to make many sectors less foggy, some sectors colours seem to have been changed to be more like X2 where alot of race sectors were kinda coloured according to the race (ie. Boron=blue Teladi=green split=red ect) but this isn't true for all sectors and overall the game retains it's looks. I'm finding it quite subtle, ... just makes things easier on the eye and improves visibility and on my machine ( XP coreduo 2.3, 3gb ram, geforce 7300 (passive cheap 500mb rubbish) there is a gain in performance too which is most welcome.

And on a different note, seeing as you want to keep the same amount of apricot wanderers. How about giving them a physically smaller ship (something like an apricot eclipse or something). They wouldn't be noticed by the player so mutch and there'd be less chance of them hitting things.. particularly when coming through gates. I know when i fly an M6 or Frigate (usually a shrike) at 500 ms i'm always hitting things coming through gates.

Cadius doesnt look finished. I will certainly consider it when its a finished mod that doesnt have any changes planned or outstanding bugs.
