Hi, I analyzed the presentation video and uploaded the screenshots of things I found interesting in this Imgur album. I added a description to every image to underline some of the things shown.

Please tell me if I made any mistakes or if I missed something.

Great stuff. Tharka's Fall was not a sector in TC or AP.

According to Bernd, "There will be no Ecliptic projector and there is no reason why you would need one"...

So i'm assuming you can play X4 with 640kB Memory, because there is no reason why anybody would need more... right?

(to be fair, there is a gravidar that shows you your orientation)

You have the gravidar/cockpit radar and you have the new UI/Map/Interface which also had depth indicators and a Z axis. I think that has you pretty well covered as far as planes and the Ecliptic projector from the past.

I said in fact that Tharka's Sun was. Maybe he was a Split patriarch or something, so Tharka's Fall is a reference to him.

Well, there is at least one good reason : to have some reference in space where you are and what orientation the ship has.

That being said : In X:R i always used the radar screens 3d map, since it has somewhat of an ecliptic projector/it shows the axes in space, so the 3d map on the radar was a good substitute for the ecliptic projector.

I've just updated the album adding this screenshot from the German presentation. You can see that mission offers are visible on the map near each station!

EDIT: also, the "Fly to" command is not like the XR "Fly to zone" command, but it's sensitive to precise location on the map you click on! Proof

EDIT2: an XR-style menu was briefly visible on screen during the German livestream

EDIT3: also found an "order queue" menu.

EDIT4: from the German stream you can see that it's possible to select multiple objects also using the property menu (and not only on the map itself) - example

Juggernaut93, you're a hero :)

Couple of points about the v4.00 update to XR:

1. Added 'Fly to position' order selecting a position via map click.
4. Added selecting multiple objects to the property menu.

I'm quite excited about how the changes shown in our screenshots, relating to the map, will play out!

Oops, I haven't had much time to play XR after 4.0 since my PC doesn't work anymore... I totally forgot this :D

I know nothing new but I guess I was hedging my bets a bit :)

I was gonna say Christmas 2018 at first but then realised it would be an inappropriate assumption...2019 was just what I settled on first while rummaging around in my head for a different way to put my best wishes :)

If I remember correctly, the Vitruvian Man was used as (default) player logo in X-BtF. It might even be the same picture you see in one that one ship.

Good work on gathering the screenshots. They do tell a lot.

Very well spotted. All of these bits of info are very welcome to me.

The only thing I don't like is, I'm certain at one point in the footage there was the Rebirth 6-item radial menu. It's a small concern now that the map is so good, but I do wish it could be turned back into a linear menu with an unbounded number of options.
