A Battlestar Galactica mod by Killerog, JCC and MilesRS
The X3ap Battlestar Galactica mod is a semi-total conversion mod. Although most elements within the xuniverse stay the same, this mod adds in a Battlestar Galactica start, along with all the ships, stations and weapons you would find in the BSG universe. A variety of other unique elements await your discovery.
Please Note: This mod requires a Game Restart!

Please read this first post as there is important information and will prevent the posting of any already known bugs or other issues
-- FEATURES --
New Game Start - - This Game start features a unique story that will take you through our version of the Battlestar Galactica story.
New Ships - - Ships you may have seen in the TV series, and ships you may not have heard of but are part of the BSG universe.
New Weapons - - Weapon types found in the BSG universe: for example the large heavy batteries featured on the battlestar galactica!
New Gun Turret Models - - Unique animated 3d models of a variety of gun turrets found in the BSG universe: these include heavy batteries, point defence guns and even the Valkyrie class unique missile turret!
New Sectors - - New sectors that you will discover while you complete the variety of missions.
Original Plots are intact - - The original plots you find in x3ap are still available for you to complete, and should be attempted if you are to find further BSG content
Custom BSG music and Sound fx - - The mod features a custom range of music tracks created by a very talented composer (see Credits). All BSG weapons feature custom Sound effects.
Cylon 'invasions' - - Be prepared to constantly be on your toes..... You are not alone in this unknown universe, the cylons seem to have managed to follow you....
Custom Colonial styled hud - - A colonial customized styled hud, we even have a dradis!! (this part is still in development although a simple version is already implemented)

New additions in V. 3.03
NEW SHIP MODELS AND SHIP TEXTURES - - Most of the Colonial military ships have been replaced with updated 3d models and have also been re-textured. The Cylon basestar has also been replaced and re - textured.
NEW SHIPS - - V. 3.03 features a large amount of new ships, both for the cylons and colonials. I wont reveal anything so its for you to discover!
NEW STATIONS - - The colonials now feature a custom Trading station, Orbital defence station and Player HQ. More models are planned...
SHIP AND WEAPONS RE-BALANCING - - All ships and weapons have been re-balanced to balance out the game. You will now for example, have to think carefully about whether you want a heavily armed, armored ship that is slow, or one less armed and armored but is quicker.
Ships and weapons are no longer overpowered compared to the xuniverse races.
DISTINCT CHANGE TO CYLONS - - Cylon Basestars have been limited to missiles only as they would be in the BSG universe. Weapons have been re balanced to reflect this change. Be prepared to set certain turrets to Missile defence, your going to need to change the way you take on the cylons. You will no longer be able to just slug it out with them.
NEW SOUND EFFECTS AND MUSIC - - All BSG weapons now feature custom sound effects. And thanks to a Ellfin, a previous admin of the cry of the gods mod, we now have custom BSG music. (see Credits for further details)
CYLON 'INVASIONS' MODIFIED - - Cylons have been made a lot harder, but again thats for you to discover

NEW WARES - - Viper Thruster Control: Ever wanted to attempt some of the crazy maneuvers you see viper pilots do in the series? Well now you can with the new Viper Thruster control ware. You will be required to set up a new hotkey for this. If you have the ware installed, pressing the hotkey will allow you to continue on your previous path but turn your ships in various directions to shoot!!!
- Point to point Jump drive: As long as your ships have an FTL coil installed, and at the cost of double the energy, you can make jumps anywhere in space at any coordinates you specify. This includes jumping your whole fleet!
- Colonial styled Hud and icons: - - All ship icons have been replaced with ones you would see on a colonial dradis, and the gravidar has been styled to look like a Dradis. This part of the update is incomplete. The hud still needs quite a bit done to it, but so far it looks really great in our opinion

Important Notes
- SWITCH OF YOUR POST-PROCESS FILTER WHEN YOU ARE IN GAME - Due to some textures and there light maps, having this switched on will result in some rather bright ships
- Due to the size of the Pegasus please do not try and dock it at the Colonial trading station, this will probably result in its destruction. Similar to previous mod versions, just be aware that some colonial vessels are a lot bigger than xuniverse ship class equivalents, and so they may not dock properly (may explode or look like they have merged with the station).
I have probably forgotten something, but for now, for those who are new to this mod, we hope you enjoy it, and for those who have been waiting for this update we hope you enjoy the changes and additions we have made.
