I think we need to work out some formatting issues here.
Stop putting the units of measure in with the values; they're already in the column headers (shielding should be an exception since it has both MJ and GJ.)
Also, no more commas.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

That's a great idea - I'm only on my phone so can't update the front page with a link.freelancer91 wrote:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... U9rMXhNdEE
This is a Work in Progress Google Docs Spreadsheet for all of the ships in Albion Prelude as of XRM 1.16. I am using the in game encyclopedia as a guide. Feel free to help me along on this. I have begun entries for all items Argon through Kha'ak but haven't put down any useful data yet. Hopefully someone will put this on the front page allowing the dev or public to update as necessary.....
Right now, I'm gonna take a break....
Someone send me a pm tomorrow during the day to remind me and ill post the link.

Look in your documents folder. You'll see a folder called Egosoft. The saves are in there.Probe1 wrote:Jonferco Research Station

I have a mildly related to XRM question. How do I delete a save file? My 2nd save slot corrupted when X3AP XRM crashed during a save. Now I just have a blank slot there that says saving failed whenever I try to use it.

Deca you really do need to do your research better tut tut!deca.death wrote:Aesthetics is highly individual thing so as an "argument" means nothing. What I see from stats is lower shield, lower steer, lower w.energy, lower accel. so it's a typical mk1. Worse in almost every part from common Dragon, which is perfectly logical. I don't say it cannot be used successfully, only that there is no particular reason in choosing it over others.Sn4kemaster wrote: Dragon Mark 1 Prototype.....i am in no way saying its the best M6, as i simply dont agree with that statement as different ships suit different roles, but its very very fast with great acceleration, very agile and its small, oh and can fit ISR or other races weapons as well as its a prototype....i imagine most will dismiss it simply because its a MK1 ship.....but IMO it looks great and has real cool factor!
Ok, so you compared it to the Common Dragon, as you can see from below the MK1 Prototype beats the Common Dragon ALL counts except steering by a whisker.... you sure you checking out the stats for the normal MK1 not the prototype??????
Dragon MK1 Prototype
Speed=284m/s Acc=24 Steering=16.2 Shields=600 Shield Gen=2450 Laser=18775 Laser Recharge=601
Common Dragon
Speed=266m/s Acc=22.8 Steering=17.7 Shields=600 Shiled Gen=2150 Laser=18700 Laser Recharge=462
Also the Prototype then has 2 extra turrets left/right/back unlike Common which just has 1 on top (its states its front but it isn't) and because it a Prototype it has access to all manner of Commonwealth weapons unlike the Normal which has just the standard Split choice.
So yeah....like i said, its not the best M6 ( as that's a stupid statement to say about any M6 ) but its a very fast agile fighter style M6 which can not be beat in this role by any M6 in the game!
And in regard to....
Well that's why i said ....IMO.... or IN MY OPINION just in case you did not know what it meantAesthetics is highly individual thing so as an "argument" means nothing.

I just think IMO ( in my opinion ) that's its cool, retro and funky!!!!!

Paul can you just double check that the 00444 file is in the new release. Cause I save every copy I rar and its not in the archive mate.paulwheeler wrote:Double check that Part 2 is definitely installed correctly (as this is the cat/dat where the replacement 00044 file is found), then try restarting your game.Lord_Dakier wrote:Theres no instance of 00044 in either the addon/mov or addon/t folders.dougeye wrote:if its AP then you have to delete the one in the Addon/t folderLord_Dakier wrote:Its been deleted but I still cant hear betty
If it still doesn't work, then its possible you have deleted the actual sound file from the mov folder.

ty I thought it'd be more complicated for some reason.. extrapolated from everything involving x3 being complicated lolpaulwheeler wrote:Look in your documents folder. You'll see a folder called Egosoft. The saves are in there.Probe1 wrote:Jonferco Research Station

Do Pirate (or any other race's) sector flagships just constantly respawn? I've been playing around in Vestibule of Creation with some big ships destroying pretty much everything I see and the "Orinoco" + Titan + M7 jump into a random part of the sector every 30 minutes or so (I think, I didn't time it really). If this is the case I'd like to apply my meager vote for non-respawning flagships. The whole point of flagships is that they are unique.

Eh, I think the way it is right now works.freelancer91 wrote:I think that on the excel spreadsheet, the shield capacity for all ships should be a numerical value in Megajoules. This makes sorting much easier. I suppose if necessary, we can make a new column that gives more details on the shields, but I think that overall capacity is what is important.
Shield configuration is just as important as the total shield value. For example, 8 x 25 MJ shielding will (usually) recharge faster than 1 x 200 MJ shielding.
But I don't think it will be hard to add another column to show the total shield value.

It's definitely there. If it wasn't everyone would be complaining that they have no betty.Lord_Dakier wrote:Paul can you just double check that the 00444 file is in the new release. Actually, when the 00044 file is there while XRM is installed Betty is still there, she just skips a few words.
"Hell Forge" -> "Hell _____"
"Teladi Fighter Wing Falcon" -> "Teladi Fighter ____ Falcon"
etc.
Edit: Oh wow, I had no idea there was a chat function in Google docs.
Anyways, about the shield thing, I think we should put the shield configuration (e.g. 2 x 25 MJ) in first, then add a column next to it and calculate the total shield value afterwards.
Once the shield configuration is in we can use it calculate the total shield values ourselves. If we put the total shield values down we'll have to check the game again for the exact shield configuration. Like, if we only have a value like 6000 MJ, how do we know if it's 2 x 3 GJ or 6 x 1 GJ (or 240 x 25 MJ
)?

This is work in progress; anyone could change stats. Document should be locked at end, if possible, or saved in xls format and uploaded somewhere. Probably both. And we still lack weapons, but we'll get to it.paulwheeler wrote: Someone send me a pm tomorrow during the day to remind me and ill post the link.

One thing at a time; ships first, then weapons, then missiles.deca.death wrote:This is work in progress; anyone could change stats. Document should be locked at end, if possible, or saved in xls format and uploaded somewhere. Probably both. And we still lack weapons, but we'll get to it.
I keep a vanilla version of the game on my desktop, and I run XRM (and other mods) on my laptop.Legionos wrote:is there a way to have a second game with xrm installed while still having a non-xrm version
My laptop is disconnected from the internet and Steam is set to offline mode on it. That way, I can play on both machines on the same time, and I don't have to worry about any patches messing with my modded installation.
As for having two installations on one machine; I have no idea. Try Google.
