Just to rephrase what paul said in a different way:

You must start a new game when playing XRM. Old saves from AP will not work with XRM:AP due to all the changes made by the mod.

Is that what you mean?
No. Old saves from XRM:TC not work for me with reinstalled XRM:TC. Sorry, i did not write, that i used the XRM before the uninstall. And the old version of game was v3.1.1 and now is 3.2.
The 3.2 patch works perfectly well with a save made in 3.1.1. The most recent version of XRM works fine with 3.1.1 or 3.2. If your old saves from XRM:TC are not working with a reinstalled TC game then something is likely missing (most likely a mod) that was used in your old XRM:TC game.

Its funny how many times people seem to miss the "NOTE - XRM REQUIRES A GAME RESTART" on the front page. I guess it might be the white text. May I suggest replacing it with:

XRM REQUIRES YOU RESTART YOUR GAME. YES THIS MEANS YOU CANNOT CONTINUE YOUR OLD GAME IT WONT ADD LOTS OF THINGS IF YOU DO. YES I KNOW YOU CAN LOAD YOUR GAME BUT IT DOESNT CHANGE THE FACT IT WONT WORK.

Now thats not fair you might say, its not their fault. There is obviously a language barrier. No problem, we live in a multicultural world after all and thanks to google translate and careful avoidance of idioms I'm sure we can make it work:

Eg.
Θα χρειαστεί να επανεκκινήσετε το παιχνίδι σας ηλίθια
Sie müssen Ihr Spiel neu zu starten und zu stoppen, für immer allein
ポニージョークには2つのトロルのメッセージよりも優れています。

PS this post is 100% serious and meant to offend and alienate people :)

Wait a minute. Did the newest-est version of XRM got released? In any case, which was the date of the latest release?

Someone needs to start a wiki with all of XRM:AP's ship stats. The excel spreadsheet appears to be woefully out of date. I'd probably take the time to compile but I am having a hard time finding the proper Tships file with the T File Editor in X3 Editor 2.

For example, I can't find an entry for the ship Oceanus......

So. How do you win the war? I'd like to have a clear goal before the patch comes out as I may be playing vanilla a lot more.

I actually started a wiki on wikia but very quickly realized that I such at making wiki's. I'm not sure if the wiki would be the best way to do it. Perhaps a google docs excel spreadsheet that could be modified as the mod updates and shared with everyone....

Arent wikis designed so that anyone can work on them? I think if someone just gets the ball rolling it will come together just fine.

Two little bugs (I dunno if they have been reported earlier):

The normal Vidar has no docking bay while all other M6 do appear to have them now as described in the changelog.

The Vidar-Defender does have a docking bay, but it doesn't work.

cheers

I think the biggest problem with the wiki is that I don't know how to set up a comparable table the way you could do with a spreadsheet

Sn4kemaster wrote: Dragon Mark 1 Prototype.....i am in no way saying its the best M6, as i simply dont agree with that statement as different ships suit different roles, but its very very fast with great acceleration, very agile and its small, oh and can fit ISR or other races weapons as well as its a prototype....i imagine most will dismiss it simply because its a MK1 ship.....but IMO it looks great and has real cool factor!
Aesthetics is highly individual thing so as an "argument" means nothing. What I see from stats is lower shield, lower steer, lower w.energy, lower accel. so it's a typical mk1. Worse in almost every part from common Dragon, which is perfectly logical. I don't say it cannot be used successfully, only that there is no particular reason in choosing it over others.

nap_rz wrote: M6 that losing 200MJ shielding while still having agility and speed (not that I'm implying that split M6 are way faster than others, except that dragon prototype or something) + superior weapons (ISR, way superior than other races corvette weapons, in some ways it even defeat terran slightly bigger guns/FPD) is way better than :
Well "superior", in exactly what effect? For example range of ISR is 2.9km, while range of CIG is 4.5km. Almost a double isn't it? While he'll strip 4.2k shields per second. IPG will do 9.1k. More then double. Yes, his w.speed is brutal but you sacrifice something to get something, that's how it works. For trashing small targets, he's ultimate, but if you need to take down big prey, or take as many enemy M6es as possible in shortest period of time, you better bring H.Hydra. That's what I do.
losing 2-4GJ shield with not so agile ship and relatively weak weapons (what's the split heaviest weapon? :? ) compared even to boreas, or titan... I'm talking about krait and taipan here... (in taipan case, against atlas, and terran ships, in which the taipan lose 4-6GJ of shielding)
Taipan has perfectly good reasons to loose shield strength. It steers rather well for ship of that hit power and it's small. You can run slalom between K bullets, like this:

And with pteronadon, you cannot. Nuff said. Taipan is ultimate war machine and for me best destroyer in this game. It can evade and it can deliver. I love my pteronadon too but he gets worse as enemies get close. As I like to repeat: Big target, slow target, dead target.

Probe1 wrote: deca.death I really liked the boron heavy hydra. It's a lot of fun. But I finally got enough money to comfortably equip things and ahhh, Khaak Corvette with 11 weapons (out of 16 :( ).
Khaak vette? You shouldn't have this you know? ;) Bailing addon probably. Next time save before you buy something and try out few different loadouts and ships. In early game stages perhaps split M6+ would be better choice cause his guns are far better suited to small, more agile targets. Nothing beats H.Hydra when comes to big game hunt but it depends of what kind of a hunter you are, it's silly to bring elephant gun to a rabbit hunt ;)

Btw I almost never noticed her color, it ranges from reddish brown to yellow green, not so bad actually but i always liked her shape, although I'm not fan of boron designs. H.Hydra and skate I actually like.

Yes, just it seems we cannot find that "someone" easily. It's a several hours job and my free time is pretty thin at the moment. There is alternative of using XModels3D Viewer or even copy entries from encyclopedia (they are correct, right? how complete they are and can it be helped with cheat pack, reveal all sectors or something?)

In worse case we could divide tasks. I could do one race or just weapons. If we find few ppl. ready to help... it would be easier that way. Oh one more thing, I'm on XRM.TC. Yet another possible problem.

I have to agree about the Pteranodon. It's powerful, but you want to avoid close combat at all costs. It quite suits my fleet command style, though. I love having frigates and destroyers to tie up enemies for me; I get to safely sit 8km out and rain Gauss rounds on targets while calling out targets for fighter wings.

P.S. Anyone know where to buy Pirate Terran ships?
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

In vanilla AP the Khaak are all gone but there are things to find . . :)

Beam weapons bug still makes it broken but its satisfying to use to kill stations.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... U9rMXhNdEE

This is a Work in Progress Google Docs Spreadsheet for all of the ships in Albion Prelude as of XRM 1.16. I am using the in game encyclopedia as a guide. Feel free to help me along on this. I have begun entries for all items Argon through Kha'ak but haven't put down any useful data yet. Hopefully someone will put this on the front page allowing the dev or public to update as necessary.....

Right now, I'm gonna take a break....

How about difference between TC and AP ship versions? And weapons? Can I add to this stats from TC version or better not?

I would consult with Paul, but I think the primary difference between the two is just that AP has a few new ships.... It wouldn't make much sense for a DLC to drastically change what already exists in a game.

Yeah - stats are identical for ships, except for the Oceanus/Megalodon which is an m2+ in tc and a light destroyer in AP.

If anyone fancies sorting some up to date stats for both ships, weapons and missiles, that would be very cool - and would give me one less job to do.

Note - Missile stats are different between the two games, but guns are the same.
