[Mod]DDRS& Multimod v1.4 (X3 Reunion V.2.5.)

Hello folks

With the help of Mailo, I received the permission of DaedlyDa to merge his DDRS Mod 2.5 with my TradeMod, creating this way the Multimod.
All files from DDRS v2.5 are included in the Multimod!
The Multimod is compatible with X3 2.5. and higher, Plot and Bala Gi are also available.

!!To assure playability of this mod, your PC should meet the minimum requirements!!

Questions regarding the DDRS-Mod can be posted in its own Topic !! This mod requires a new start, old save games, also DDRS save games cannot be used!!

!!To make your start a bit easier, there is a station and a TS added to your assets at the beginning!!
!!There are also 3 hidden ships, that you can't buy!!

!!Do not use X3plus, there are reports of incompatibility issues!!

Now also including a few things from UniTrader's Hud-Mod. Thanks again for leting me use it.

The Multimod is a ship mod with improved trading system.

Sector descriptions are still in German.
They are to be translated as soon as possible.

Background (custom stars)

!!Its not required but you can use it if you want!!

This mini-mod changes the look of the Background (stars) of the sectors.
Just place the 11.cat/11.dat into the X3 root folder

Installation guide J.L. Multimod (exe or spk version)
  • Install the exe with the main mod into the mods folder or activate the spk main mod with Cycrow's Plug-in Manager.
  • Install the scripts (exe) into the scripts folder or activate the spk via the Plugin Manager.
  • Install the t-files into the t folder (exe) or activate via Plugin Manager.
  • Install one(!) of the updates (easy, hard, extreme) into the X3 root folder (exe) or activate via Plugin Manager.
    (Make sure that the .cat and .dat number of the update is higher by one than already existing .cat and .dat files.
    (In an unmodified X3 game this should be: X3 - 09.cat/dat, Mod: 10.cat/dat).
  • You can choose to use the Background file as 11.cat/dat as well (its not mandatory!).
    Install the exe or activate via Plugin Manager into X3 main directory (sharpens the star background. Do not use with slow PC's).
  • Choose the mod package in the X3 splash screen and click OK.
Note: The spk files from the 'extras' folder can be used, but they are not needed

Important: Make sure to disable glow in the graphics options!

Make sure to choose the right directories when installing the exe files!!! (Wasn't meant to be like that... but unfortunately it is).

Directories:
  • Scripts -> C:\Program Files\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion\scripts
  • t-files -> C:\Program Files\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion\t
  • Mod files -> C:\Program Files\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion\mods
  • Updates (10cat/10dat) (leicht (easy), schwer (hard), extrem (extreme)) -> C:\Program Files\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion

Make sure not to override X3 crucial .cat/dat files.
The Multimod .cat/dat numbers are already fine if used with an unmodified X3 version.
Make sure to use an unmodified and even better a clean installation of X3.

Do not use content from the DDRS-Mod. The Multimod already contains everything from it!!
Do not dock XL ships in the HQ, they are to big for that
when you undock they will damage or even totally ruin them self and the station!!

  • Many Nividium asteroids have been added to the Multimod universe. The Cycrow Nividium mines script has been extensively tested and works without any problems. It is advisable to use this script... a great help.

J.L. Multimod download section
  • Please read this
    The Multimod is split in two parts. This here is the 'Main Mod Part' (Part 1) and the 'Update Part' (Part 2). There will be no more changes done to Part 1, as all known issues were solved. Most types files are included in Part 2 (Update Part) of the Multimod, this way you don't need to re-install nor re-download Part 1 and can leave it as it is. The Update Part (Part 2) defines if you play with or without cockpits, I'll also leave the version number in case that I need to amend something.

!!Its mandatory to use one (and only one!) of these!!

Now you have 3 choices (the 10.cat/ 10.dat) to change the behaviour of the Xenon, Kha'ak and Pirates in the Universe.
Place one! 10.cat/10.dat in the X3 root folder.
You can change the 10.cat/10.dat any time during the game.
If you feel that its to hard or to easy, just change the files accordingly.

Hints

With the help of the X3 to X3 Converter, you can "import" your assets
from an older save game into this version of the Multimod.
But be aware that its possible that some things might not be transferred,
due to known issues. But at least you don't need to start from scratch.
Still a new start can have its benefits.

Just a question, and maybe Lennstar will have a chance to translate English questions?....

...Are you still ok with users extracting ships to use in games we're already running? I wouldn't upload them, but I'd very much like to extract some ships as .XSPs and drop them into my current game(esp. the Shadow ones). I asked this last year(with Lennstar's translation), and you gave approval. Is that still ok?

In the video, i see a few interesting ships, they are 2 different models of Star destroyers, one should be the Super version.

Are those in game? I can't see them in the cat files or anywhere else...

Thanks :P I will check better, i'd like to play with some SW ships, but haven't seen them in DDRS :( except for the ISD


Edit: just checked the SWTC forums and seems the Legacy class star destroyer is a model of yours, JL, even if i cant see the SSD :p
I'll try and spawn a few in game so that i can have a look at them :p

Here a List of SW Ships in J.L.'s Multimod
  • Executor = Age of Oedipus
  • Eclipse = Age of Oedipus XL
  • ISD = ISD
  • Lagacy = Appollox
  • Lagacy = Appollox XL
  • Nebulon-B = Nebulon-B
Those are the ones I found in a hurry, there are a lot more, like the Sith Infiltrator and so on..

Can anyone help me, I am trying to find stargate ships in the mod but they are under different names: e.g. and M1 Pyramid Income is the Deadalus and the M2 Pyramid Income is the Prometheus and the M3 Solitas Vanguard is the F302.
So i would be greatful if someone could tell me what they are.

ok, iv installed this mod and it works great, the only problem is that with this mod installed i cant use my xsp ships that i have installed, is there a reason for this? or is it supposed to be like this?

Hi everyone !

I know it's an acient post and maybe no more updated now, but i have a question about it.

In fact, i wish to have some of the ships of this mod in game without beginning a new game. Because i already began a game with Xtended mod and i hope to "improve" it with some of yous ships.

So here is my question : Is it possible to extract the ".spk" ships from your mods ? And if yes, how to ?

Hello again,
nevermind my other post, i found an alternative.

But i got another problem : Every modification added with this mod is in ReadText and ships are invisible ! And the main menu is in German but that's not a problem. My game is in French, but, this mod doesn't have any "t" file so i can't change anything for the language.

Help please ?

hey loving this mod awesome, but do you have a ship list name for the extra ships? some of them are called tempest missle thunderstorm missle etc. i love the stargate ships in game, been tryin to find i think its called a tel'tak mabe goul'd ship kinda small looking. but cant seem to find it because of the name?

Does any 1 know what the name of the ship is that is Atlantis city frm stargate, i know its probably somthin mad like hell sporn missle or som kind of weapon name, an what class m1,m2,tL?

So beautiful the many pictures here on the side, and everything other. But a beauty's mistake yes. How Cycrow Plugin Manager the game does not use this manner alone. And I do anything in any way. Kha'ak from ships one merging there was chat, a ship with an all kinds of other appearance was from the ships, but I did not find one of the ships accidentally from the new ones. How I say thank you for it so, the basis ships were reshaped well. But this manner is worthless.
