Homebase freighter to factory A.Idleking wrote:The only thing I don't get right is that "trade-loop"-thingie:
How do you manage to get your freighters buying only from your factories?

Hm, you can only send your TL-based ships manually to buy wares, so no automation at this point.
Have I got something wrong or wasn't this "way of doing stuff" meant to require no manual input?
Order it to 'Buy ware' from Factory B
Set number of repeats to -1 and it will do it infinitely.
For TL it's much the same, Homebase Fighter to TL, order it to buy ware from missile fab, repeats -1.
No, you can't generate money by selling between stations, they just exchange it.ajsarge wrote:Is it possible to make profit by just selling products between your own stations? Or does the money just move around between them until you sell an end product to the AI?
In terms of your own complex, you are obviously going to use all your missiles that you produce, but do you have a profit-generating product?
And where did you put all of these stations?
The complex generates profit for itself by selling it's missiles to me and I pay for them from my personal account, but because the complex is set to give any cash over a certain amount back to me that profit overflows right back into my account anyway, so all the complex is doing when it sells me missiles is keeping its own cash topped up.

Set the Ore mines additional commands to dump any cash over a certain limit back into your personal account and then use your own ships to buy Ore from that mine. The Ore you buy will top up the Ore mines funds and then the Ore mine can use those funds to buy energy cells from wherever you like to keep itself running.ZeakTanir wrote:Hey NS how did you set it where u actualy pay for your own goods?
never actualy owned a complex and only structures i have built so far are ore and silicon mines.
Actually it's fine. Because each part sells to another part there is always a demand. And if there isn't it'll sit and wait until there is.pSylle wrote:Afaik, this in-brackets evaluation may depends on how much you sell your products, even @ 485, if you sell no ware, youll be in deficit. Therefore this will depends on the other stations needs AND the rythm youll deliver/TS cargo space/Stations appetite.
Of course, although given the way you fly I doubt you'll survive that long..Limbo365 wrote:@NS If you get a normal eclipse can I have that instead? Please![]()

71 - Goner
Been helping the Goners today in their efforts to build themselves a new Temple. Seems they forgot to order enough bricks or something? Bit of an oversight if you ask me, but it's all good though as it's given me an outlet for the surplus ore production from my missile complex as currently I don't have enough fabs available to use up what my Oreplex is producing.
My Elephant is proving invaluable in helping out with this as it provides a large amount of storage capacity coupled with a jumpdrive to enable me to ferry the goods around quickly, so that saves me shipping it halfway across the universe in a freighter convoy, and the Freight Drones I picked up a while back are proving themselves to be very useful to ship the goods from my fabs to the Elephant. I'm thinking I might get a few more Freight Drones actually they're that good.
After the first few shipments the Goners decided they don't require my services anymore for the time being, but promised to be in touch when they've got more work for me so I decided to pay a respectful visit to 'The Duke' down near Heavens Assertion. Him and Mak used to have a bit of 'an arrangement' as I recall. Probably illegal, actually it definitely was illegal, but that wasn't something of huge concern to Mak so I guess that's fine. Apparently tho that 'arrangement must have gone a touch sour at some point as he seems none too thrilled to see us turning up in his territory..

.. I'll have to see if I can locate a friendly hacker among the pirate fraternity that can correct that little misunderstanding. If not, well there's negotiation and there's 'negotiation' if you get my drift.. For now tho I make my excuses and move on.
Oddly, I've been getting message alerts from my Nostrop complex in PTNI. Apparently it's running short of resources and the manager there is slightly concerned that a couple of freighters that went off to pick up supplies haven't returned. Or called in. Or been seen by anyone for a while. Now this shouldn't be the case as that complex has been up and running for a while now and has been running smoothly from day one. Somethings up..

.. Grr.
Yep, once more the Xenon are causing me grief. Two more freighters down, victims of the Q plague. That's another three million or so down the tubes. The Q itself doesn't last long once we jump in-system and pound it with Hornets and Gauss fire, but the damage has been done already. I've had to order a new superfreighter from Ceos Sprite, so that's on the way but it'll take a little while so meantime I've been firefighting, shipping resources to the Nostrop complex manually.
I'm not happy, every time my back is turned the Xenon creep out of X-347 and cause me problems. I think it's way past time this Q problem was stamped out at source so tomorrow 'Bloody Mary' finally gets his wish to see combat, 'Limbo' gets another chance to do it right and get himself killed properly this time and 'Providence will get access to some live rounds.. (actually I may rethink that last one..)
Tomorrow, Steve goes to war!
