Question
I apologize for the noob question, but it has been 2 years since I have been on the forum and I want to know how to obtain the Plugin Manager for X3TC. I finally, after 2 years, have a pc that can play it, and would like to install scripts. Thanks in advance guys. =)

Okay, so I use the "Install Package" on the Plugin Manager for this mod, but an error comes up saying:
"Currently in Vanilla Mode, Package is not an Vanilla Package Cheat Collection Package.
Switch to modified mode if you wish to install this package"
How do I switch to "modified mode"?

Ok so I'm stuck with using the spktool under cmd is it normal that when I extract this that it will give an error message? I'm assuming the error is about the Icon .png as that's the only file which was not included in the extraction, everything else was extracted completely.
Got to that conclusion because the community plugin spk also had extraction error on it (both made by you). No other mod had the extraction error from spktool.exe

The cheat package is not the problem with XTC its the plugin manager as it has built in EMP and the XTC mod uses its own custom wares that the plugin manager messes with or so i have read on TXU's site.
That said i've still got the 1.2v for installing packages as its been that long since i played any X game and i found no problems that i could notice using that plugin manager.

Having some issues with god mode.
Ok so a back story. I am trying to keep Xennon sector 347 clear of xennon. First off I went in the first time with my regular fleet. We cleared the sector with a bit of work. And I was like good deal. Then I noticed everyting was respawning. Well crap. It was at this time I learned the AI cheats and can respawn ships out of thin air for nothing over and over. Ok fine I am going to cheat too.
So I spawn 7 Large Oribital Weapons Platforms. have them loaded up with IBL's and missles. tempest missles. They are situated to provide cover between the two gates and in the center where the AI is spawning. with turrets set to attack all enimies. watch them for a secound and they seem like they are doing a good job so I go off and do other stuff. They are constantly fighting stuff. A little while later I check back and notice a few of my platforms have been destroyed. which seemed odd to me as the largest thing they had in sector was the M7's.
Ok I figure I would step it up and give them god mode. However this is a repeat of the previous attempt. they still get destroyed. which seemd odd to me as I thought they would be invinceable. So now I pay close attention to what is going on there. And I notice whats happening is they Xenon are getting really close to my weapons platforms. So I am thinking maybe they are getting inside the range of the IBL's. or maybe they are collidng (although I thougth there was no collisions when OOS). Ok so I give them each 3 eclipse fighters with orders to protect and make the fighters in god mode and both the fighters and stations in no collide mode.
Still they get destroyed. Ok maybe becouse the platforms are not moving is the issue. So I then decide to put 4 Boreas in system. God mode orders to defend the sector. They then clear out the sector. I then leave the sector to continue on.
Now my Boreases are not destorying the Xenon. Its like they stackup on each other. but dont destroy each other. Now if I enter the system. they quickly destroy the enemy ships.
Any idea's on whats going on here and what I can do to solve the issues?

God mode takes a few seconds to kick in, maybe 1/4 to 2/3 of a second. Since OOS combat adds up all the damage a ship can do over 30 seconds, and doesnt deal damage till the end of those 30 seconds, god mode doesnt have time to kick in before the ship dies. (if u want
AFAIK the Ai dont cheat... what others scripts/mods are you using?
Did you clone the Boreases OOS? Also Are the xenon within 5km of the Boreases?
Maybe you try spawning more boreases and go for total overkill.
Are you familiar with the rules of OOS combat?

as you seem to be a leader of moding X to your wants and needs im looking for advice.
is there a way to open the program files in a readable format and change values. If so how do you go about this?

With the modmanager by doubleshadow you can extract the game files from the cats/dats. Then you can open the files with certain programms. But I only want my ship's camera to move faster (More rudder optimization)
The Supertune cheat does so but also adds speed, I dont want that...
I tried looking for the script with the Script thingy IG (Thereshallbewings thing) but I didnt find anything for "Supertune"
Can you tell me wich of the scripts is the Supertune one?
I only want it to give me Rudder Optimization, Not Speed or anything else...

Hey, Cycrow. I'm having trouble with your plugin manager. I have X3 Gold Edition. When I try to use your plugin manager and point to my installation, it won't accept the X3TC.exe file in the X3 Terran Conflict directory. The error that pops up says that I need to point to a directory with either X2.exe or X3.exe. That works if I wanted to use plugins for X3:Reunion, but I wanted to use them in X3:Terran Conflict. I tried letting your plugin manager installer update itself, but it didn't do anything after 2 hours. It connects and requests an update.dat file, but just sits there. I am using v2.12 from your website.
I don't have a clue how your plugin manager is supposed to work yet. I'm still looking at the help file. My goal in using this program was to make all ships in the game capturable and able to be outfitted, since I don't agree with the idea that some ships cannot be boarded or will never bail or that your marines automatically get deleted if you try to board say, an Argon Arena, which is a Mammoth TL in actuality.
