Its far from my knowledge about the game engine. If i was made a terrible mistake deleting all the content in the khaak sectors you will find an empty sector in your new game not an exploding one. But well im sure i dont deleted nothing in any sector.
The first that come to my mind its to ask if you are using other mods that can create this anomaly, if your answer is no then we need a more experienced modder to help us.

i cant think of any possable cause, all im useing is CMOD3 Cadius ship pack/shipextention. oh and marine repairs and achivement guild.

Hey i've been using your mod for a while ... it's just great. A real noticable improvement in my framerate and loading times now. :)

This should be a standard install in anyones game.

er. the only mod that can possably cause this problem is this mod so i would like a little more help please. can you just check out the sector in your game and see who gets this same problem. heck i dunno maybe this mod conflicts with another mod to make this sector unenterable.
i could be dead wrong but i cant uninstall this mod now due to forgetting what number i used when i installed it as a fake patch

Just tally the download to your fake patch... Cat and Dat file sizes...
it's almost 300MB.. the other mods you have won't even reach 200MB

at the same time you need to start a new game... if you don't you'll just be using your current galaxy map

i am not looking forword to restarting my whole game. id just fineshed the terran plot too.

there has to be a way to..... hay w8 a mo. somthing i didnt try. il send a ship to 841 OOS and see if it goes boom


ok i tryed and..... drum roll please. HAH i knew it!

i sent my Katana to 841 OOS and no boom, all fine but when i jumped in ablt 5 mins l8er KA-BOOM! so this leads me to think {yes i can think} that maybe there somthing big and solid in 841 maybe the nebulas solid i dunno what the sullution is but im getting a better idea of what the problem is.

pity the crate i gotta colect doesnt shiw up OOS

To test it use cycrows cheat pack to spawn a ship or satellite there there and see if it gets there ok...if it does try jump in while it's still there.

I just tested it, this problem does exists. I just installed this mod on a clean vanilla install (great mod by the way, makes the universe feel new), jumped to Khachk 841 and was greeted by a game over screen. :(

It sounds like the K 841 sector is deep within a planet atmosphere or body (whether due to an actual planet placement or just a coding issue). That would kill anything present in sector pretty soon after the Player goes IS, but not until.

Yup, you right on the money. I edited 841 (deleted both planets and a sun) and now it works fine.

One second, I'll upload the fixed file onto Rapidshare, I hope the author doesn't mind. It's defiantly not the sun, so it's one of the planets, I'll upload it as soon as I figure out which planet it is.

EDIT: The problem is caused by both planets. Here is a fixed version - http://www.mediafire.com/?itnommixte2

Tips:
1. Make sure you have no /maps folder in you X3TC director or otherwise this .cat won't overwrite
2. This is Immense background mod by Connary, all I did was delete the planets which caused the crash in Khack 841.
3. New game start is required :(

P.S. There's a no-restart hotfix on the way.

Thanks to all beta testers involved to help to find this problem.
This will be solved in the next release. Sorry for the inconveniences.

P.D.: My mistake, something goes wrong with some planet there, it seems that things that collide do not explode in the galaxy editor.

open sector map in GE and move to the ALL tab, watch out for @@{object.name}@@, this means there is a collision problem.

Hi, wanted to ask if there will be an update for 841 as I'll be starting the FF plot soon.

As for my previous problems, I've narrowed it down to two particular sectors, Omicron Lyrae and Circle of Labour. The combination of the thick fog of that color and that particular background is what creates the painful effect. I've visited practically every other sector and it is only those two that I'm having problems with.

Yes, please, will there soon be a fix for the 841 sector? I'm not stuck on that mission and so far gave up on x3 due to this bug. Please someone release a fix :(

Yes you do have to start a new game. If you don't the mod applies only the new backgrounds and textures but not the new lightning effects. And without lightning effects this mod is not what it meant to be :wink:

Question about this mod:

I understand you have to restart for the game to apply the changes but is this going to be the case every time there is a new version of this mod?
