I can't find any bandannite, anywhere. I've hung out by other miners, done my own mining (Ore asteroids for bandannite, right?) and not seen a single crystal of any kind, anywhere, apart from Unstable (I have well over 1000 hrs in-game).
What do I need to do to collect bandannite crystals?

Here is information on how to find crystals. You will find them in most sectors with asteroids. In newer versions of the game, the crystal spawn time, their price or other details about their appearance may have changed, but the method of searching and mining remains the same. Bandannite crystals are the purple ones, the cheapest, easiest to find.

Take a fast S ship and fly it yourself, dont forget to save....a lot...and shoot at the shiny cristals on those asteroids.IanSparkJones wrote: ↑Fri, 8. Nov 24, 22:19Thanks! I'll send my miner there. Do I need to be operating the mining ship in person in order for the crystals to drop? Does it matter what size mining ship I use?
Oh, you will find a lot behind the minefield on the maps edge

I have the impression that you don't know what crystals are and how to even look for them. Watch the video I sent, at least the beginning. Pay attention to the flash on the asteroid between 20-23 seconds of the video. You have to look for this flash. To see it, fly between asteroids at low speeds. And you extract them as shown in the video, destroying them with a weapon.

Also note that miners don't find and collect crystals and I've never seen them drop from mining asteroids. Finding them is a player manual operation only.

I also found crystals personally from Hewa's Twin I from ore asteroids.
Now when playing 7.10 I haven't yet paid so much attention to crystal hunting. Got some random crystals from containers Boso had left for me to pick up (nice boron!)
