Hello folks,
Not used to posting bug reports, I hope I've done it correctly! I've experienced a rather odd bug where all of a sudden ship engine noises (like the ones you hear when you're in a wharf) will start loop in the background without explanation. They seem to appear at random though I've noticed it most in Argon Prime. If I then go into my space suit, the display starts flickering. If I teleport back to the ship, it seems to fix the flickering but, on the map, Argon Prime's sector is larger than it should be. I've made a video which I hope will help show what's happening... I also attach a save file in case that's helpful.

I can confirm that this issue wasn't present when I was playing the 1.6 build. All my display drivers are up to date.

Also noticed odd sound effects in ARGON PRIME...fly to second contact and they return to normal.

2.0 - mystery engine noises
Hey all,
Since updating to 2.0 - initially in the final Beta - I get mysterious random looping engine noises start soon after loading the game.
I'm standing on my station, so Engine noise from ships isn't uncommon. However, this noise has no valid source and is not impacted by turning - i.e. the Left/Right speaker balance is always the same, so it's not a directional sound coming from one of my ships - it's just everywhere.
Note: at around the same time the noise starts - within 30 seconds or some of loading - my fps tanks, dropping from around 50 to around 30, yet I've not even moved.
The sound remains as I walk around my station, going into elevators will sometimes see the volume of this sound reduced a little, but it never goes away. It's quite annoying.
Edit: additional detail... If I just into one of my ships and fly away from the station, the sound persists until I reach a nearby highway, stopping once I enter it. It's also at this precise moment that my fps recovers fully, going from under 30 (27 during the flight) to a vSync'd 60.
Edit 2: Apologies, I forgot my saved game here. Note that my game was modified once, but hasn't been for a while, though my main menu retains the "modified" tag despite no Extensions being present. I did not experience this issue until 2.0 though, my game being started in 1.6.
Is anyone else getting this?

Possibly a 'stuck' sound effect that was playing at the time of the last autosave. See here.

I actually disable auto-save in my game, could a normal save have done the same? I ran out of time today, so I've not loaded my most recent save yet - however, that was in space so relatively quiet.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Tue, 26. [2.00] Looping sound glitch
I'm playing in windowed mode; after tabbing back to the game, I, occasionally, get a weird looping sound glitch. It sounds like mining or maybe a factory manufacturing sounds, something industrial. My debuglog is full of multiple instances of the error below. I'm not doing anything in the game, just floating in space with SETA active when this happens (in Second Contact II Flashpoint, about 38km in the -z direction and ~15km in the +x direction from the True Sight jump gate). I'm not near any factories, nor other ships. The error doesn't happen every time, but it is frequent.

I don't know where else to post this.
There seems to be a bug in sound files, i am sitting in my ship and there is "facric" noice in the ship and ouside in 3d person view. that just fast loop never stops.
it starts any thing from 2 min play to 5 min play and dont stop untill i exit the game fully and go back in.
I have located that the "noice fabric" sound is from 2 channels.
1 is ambient sounds
2 is in Effect sounds
can a moderator please file this along to bug fixers.
