Of course we can fix it... It just wasent a known bug, haha. I guess thats what happens when bugs cant be added to the wiki, they get lost.Joubarbe wrote:@Retrox : known bug. I don't think Litcube can fix that ; it has been reported several times.
Its been added to the new BugList for verification.
No; Changing sector ownership is not recommended in LU - mostly because of its silly unavoidable side effects, also it lacks any real point.Lord Dakier wrote: Does the STO script work with this then do you know?
There are plenty of empty sectors on the map.

After i posted that, i actually started thinking about if we actually fixed them or not, i cant actually remember - things like stations re-spawning when they shouldn't be, jobs engine spawning ships, etc. All the old problems that used to plague the sector claiming/ownership changing mods.Joubarbe wrote: Silly unavoidable side effects ? Could you elaborate ? I didn't see any major problem in Mayhem.
There not major problems, just side effects.
Haha, maybe we saw it, i dont know - but at least now we have place to record bugs; with a wiki that's not slammed into readonly mode because google decide to up and shutdown google code, lol.Joubarbe wrote:@Jack08 : I reported it two times ! You never pay attention to your community !.

The stations and jobs are what crossed my mind for side effects. For instance, some jobs are assigned to spawn in specific sectors, most often as military patrols. If you were to take over those sectors, those patrols would continue to respawn. But apart from a handful of such jobs, most jobs will just respawn in the remaining sectors available to that race. The last oddity that can arise is when you takeover the last remaining sectors for a race, the game engine will then wig out, not knowing where to respawn those jobs. As I understand it, the engine just randomly respawns them wherever.

The download server supports download managers, such as FDM, it should accelerate your download.nekoexmachina wrote:The download is so awfully slow for me :< Almost terrible, lol. Hope I would love the mod.

Got an issue on Linux (don't have windows machine to try to reproduce there):

this exact star is located behind the "West Gate (Cloudbase south-west)" in Ore Belt. This issue happens once in a while (I think 3 or 4 spots in Argon space around argon prime at least).
I've followed the install instructions step-by-step excluding the GUI installer, since it is marked as "Optional".

These types of problems are isolated to the Linux version of the game, unfortunately because the Linux version seems to behave quite differently then the windows one when it comes to many visual things, likely because egosoft outsourced the porting process, we cant directly support Linux.nekoexmachina wrote:Got an issue on Linux (don't have windows machine to try to reproduce there):

Neither Litcube nor I have an actual running Linux machine, so we dont have the tools needed to isolate or fix these problems.
While that doesn't mean we will say dont use the Linux version, it does mean that the only support we can give is with code related errors, rather then visual ones.
Edit:
I may try to get linux running cross boot when my computer is fixed/more stable, as i'll need to run some tests on my newest project for LU.

Oh well then, all the other stuff works as a charm for now. So.. visual glitch is visual, no big deal. These types of problems are isolated to the Linux version of the game, unfortunately because the Linux version seems to behave quite differently then the windows one when it comes to many visual things, likely because egosoft outsourced the porting process, we cant directly support Linux.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by turning off lensflare for the suns that had this problem. You can do the same by downloading this file and putting it in addon/types/TSuns.txtnekoexmachina wrote:Got an issue on Linux (don't have windows machine to try to reproduce there):
