I'm hoping to be able to put a check in the plot trigger code which will enable me to get the plot working in a new start.

Hey Paul, sorry if this has already been answered and dont feel like you have to answer but im just starting up X and ive been playing all day on vanilla but ive always wanted to try XRM and now 3.0 is coming i think its that sort of time!
Im just wondering if you have a rough ETA on 3.0 release because i dont want to start a save up now then you release 3.0 tommorow!
as i say im not poking or anything and feel free to tell me where to stick it as i know such a big update isnt a small task to re-program for you kudos to you for keeping it up for so long
Another open question to anyone, is there any sort of Wiki or Place i can find out what all the extras are in XRM as its pretty overwhelming or is it just "play and find out"

If the new plots can't be accessed without a game restart that's something I can understand. That I can not understand (don't think I'm rude, I really mean that I don't understand) it's people asking for that game restart to be mandatory while Paul already stated that he will probably be able to add some kind of check to satisfy everyone.

If you're playing TC then AP3.0 wont affect you. Allow me to quell your misunderstanding a bit. Some people (like myself) prefer a total restart to just a "check" (no offense Paul). Checks have several flaws in them, as they fix one thing but down the line another problem may arise that the check created. Whereas the restart causes the scripts in the game to weave and fix themselves, the check is still there somewhere but it is miniaturized. There's just a large number of people that don't really care about having to start a new game if its necessary -- that's all.

Hi everyone!
I'm quite new at X3, having played Reunion only a little bit. I'm currently downloading Albion Prelude from the App Store, and I found out that AP is a standalone on Mac but an extension on PC: is it still possible to use XRB on the Mac version? Thanks in advance!
Ps: yes, I know I will have to wait for XRB to be made compatible with AP3.

Hi, I had to do a clean install of AP and XRM and having started a new game I am noticing Federal Argon Shipyards in a lot of sectors selling only Omega missiles and nothing else ? I do not recall seeing these before and also a Federal Argon Shipyard in a Split sector selling the usual Split factory's and ships... Is this correct or has something got corrupted ?

You have a mod conflict. Most likely something that alters tfactories. Installing mods on a Mac requires a bit of effort extra effort, but it is not too bad if you are comfortable with how Macs work. You will need Crossover and you will need to know how to find the folders inside the app with the Finder.

The list is no different to what I had installed prior to this clean install and I am not using any existing save games either...
Just makes me wonder if one of the files got corrupted in the transfer over to the new HDD's since it was done using Linux rather than Windows.
