Sainsburys have been mentioned about 20 times over the last couple hundred pages nearly. That's a placeholder date, nothing more. CBJ confirmed nowhere currently knows its release date, as even Egosoft don't know themselves.Timzork wrote:http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.u ... =E11030063
I guess we will se XR this year - Sainsbuys is not a small veggie shop on the corner but large supermarket network (but they often do pre-order for even 6 months before release date)
thumbs crossed XD
I hope I have not draw attention to buying from them (Sainsbury's) because I`ll rather let EGOSOFT earn on this release...

Some previous 3D display discussion. Also there are a few previous threads on Oculus Rift etc.
There is also an active German thread on this here if you can follow the posts.
Edit: Typo.

you have that backwards.BarrenEarth wrote:Not on a graphics engine designed on DX9DutchCourage86 wrote:I just assembled a new machine with an NVIDIA 680 GTX and my next purchase will be a 3D television. Wouldn't it be cool if all this delay meant we could play X:R in 3D
Did you get the kind with the cool powered 3d googles?
Games that have not been specifically designed for 3D are more likly to work in DX9

Yeah that is what I said... The game is designed for DX9 and regular 2D. Cycrow you have now confused me.Cycrow wrote:you have that backwards.BarrenEarth wrote:Not on a graphics engine designed on DX9DutchCourage86 wrote:I just assembled a new machine with an NVIDIA 680 GTX and my next purchase will be a 3D television. You are talking about a patch to add 3d to the DX9? Then yes they could add said patch.

Both TC and AP currently look great in 3d - some minor ghosting, even on a "proper" 120+hz 3d monitor, the high-contrast of shiny ship vs. black space exagerates the effect - but really quite good.
Skyrim (dx9) also looks very good with a couple of minor (.ini) tweaks to fix shadows - deferred shadows or something like that...
The BEST looking 3d games however are those with bespoke support coded by the devs, at least from what I've seen. Often games that were not directly coded for 3d can have some odd artifacts, like HUD's popping too far out / being too far away, certain items in a scene using a "shortcut" so an effect does not have proper 3d co-ordinates for 3d to use etc. Many of these issues get tweaked by the fans, if not the devs.
Scoob.

I'll use my semi-monthly login to echo this sentiment - I'd love to be able to play the game over the summer. I had my heart set on playing it over the holiday break.kal431 wrote:Just, please, EGOSOFT make the game ready for either June or July - I beg you!
I'm going to buy it regardless, unless it reviews terribly, but damn. I'm dying to play it already.
Anyway, see you all in a couple months when I check in next.
