Ah, thanks for the explanation! I've namely got Immersive Environments in teh form of a fake patch hardcoded into my savegame and their version of Black Hole Sun is complete blackness, even after I removed their files. There goes 100 hours of playtime...
Guess it's time to use what I've always loathed... cheats, to get back what I'll be losing.

doesn't seem to work for me
Installed plugin manager and when I start it I see a dialogue box for "documents library." Not the typical plugin manager that I've used in the past. I have no idea what to do at this point

It's kind of wierd. The interface I see doesn't look like your plugin manager at all but at the bottom you can select what kind of .spk file (terran conflict or AP). I'm in XP at the moment but next time I fire the game up in windows 7 64 bit I will do a screen shot for you and maybe you can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Having this same issue. Spent the last hour or so going through posts and fiddling with the files themselves and havent had any luck. (Havent tried to add them to the AP files manually, as it makes me nervous, thoughraker99 wrote:hey, sorry that my English is not good but this picture says it all.

Ran into an issue with the Plugin Manager Lite 1.4 - particularly the save game manager.
Playing AP. Tossed in a few mods at a time to see how things played and everything was fine in terms of loading a saved game. Had a nights worth of play logged using four or five mods. Decided I wanted to load Logaine's carrier mod. I opened the plugin manager as admin and installed LSDC (Logain's Drone Carrier mod) and started the game and it loaded the vanilla saves from AP.
I went into the folder and saw no "vanilla" folder like TC saved game directory is setup; however there is a separate save.backup folder, which appears to contained "vanilla" AP saves. So without being knowledgeable with this, I would assume it copied the back.up saves over the current modified saves.
I went through all .sav files and the modified ones for AP are not in the user>mydocs>egosoft directory. I also noticed when switching to TC in the manager from Albion it turns back to Vanilla mode.
If it matters (I don't think it does)

i've found a few ships dont seem to be extracting properly anymore, not sure if they are curropt models, or if the compression has been confused somewhere. Not sure about a fix for those yet.
if its all of them, then most likly the models arn't even getting loaded into the game.
check if you have the 03.cat/dat files. When the plugin manager is running, this is renamed to PlugMan_Fake.cat in the Plugin Manager directory, so you can also check there
this should contain the model files if its working right

ok so i got pissed and decided to find the problem, it seems that the fake patch the plugin manager gets a bad data error, and i can reproduce this with x3 editor 2 i don't know whats going on but it looks like the plugman_fake.cat is getting messed up somehow thats why models wont load, for me there is no way for me to fix this except to make my own fake patch and bypass the manager all together

Can verify this. looks like i've found the problem.
the spk libraries have been updated. If the auto updater is active, it should install it, otherwise, u could download it from here

u'll most likly need to remove all ships and delete the files before trying to install any new ships

Ok that seems to have worked. Though im having issues with a couple still but im going to assume that has to do more with the file itself rather than the PM since others are working fine.

Edit: Letting the PM convert the xsp files has fixed the issue for all but 1 of the remaining ships i was having issues with. Stumbled across this when i tried to use the Explore Ship option and received an error stating that the file was an old format. Hope this helps.

I found out something new. I dont see any ship only if I overwrite the game from english to czech.
