Was curious if there is a script that i can get to boost the combat level in TC using the plug in manager. Kinda want really angry bug dudes , even after i finish the terren and final fury plots. Any suggestions are greatly appreaciated.

the improved races mod really works for that but might change more then you want.

your are correct, however they would have to go treu pages and pages of the forum instead to find someting as mod lists are not going to be stickied

Returning player- Need help with which mods to use

Hello,

I played X3 TC a long time ago. Back in the days I was interested in adding in Babylon 5 ships but I remember the process was long, terrible, and also horrible.

Assuming I re-install the game, can someone give me a list of things to do in order to get B5 ships into the game? First I install, then upgrade to 2.5, right? Is there a new plug-in manager that now makes importing ships easier? If so, what is it?

hey ya all,
i was searching for days now and couldn't find the mod i'm lookin for

i have seen the thread, but wasn't ready to download it and now i forgot its name -_-

the mod makes the jumpgate bigger, no redesigne, just bigger

can any one point me the right direction? ^^

the mod i saw, was in the TC thread

Edit: some details from my memory :P
it resize all gates + the one from the hub

iirc there was also a pic of the #deca for comparison

edit2: in the thread feedback, it said it has a conflict with the
"Terran Revitalization Project" by eldyranx3 which creat a new gate next to the original gate in sector ?mars? what makes em collide with the resize mod

hope somebody recognize what I'm looking for ^^

i was using nearly all kind of searching, even the mozilla search tool and using the search term "gate" "jumpgate" "resize" "resize gate" with no avail, only getting the wrong result =(
i do found the one LV posted and one for TC

was even browsing the entire library for some thing related with "gate"

haha it was XChange :D
i knew i wasn't hallucinating xD

This is why authors should spend a little more time thinking about what they call it so it's easily found :)

I've done it many times myself, 100 hrs on a script, 30s on the title.

Generally the Library submissions provide only a name. XChange was so. It's thread, however, had descriptive(?) text. Yours truly did use that to describe the entry.

LV is right. Most names are hard to link to the content. Worse yet, the thread OP's make a user no wiser. Alternatively, the author's description is okay, but uses terms that the other half of the community does not.

Recommended mods for first time play through?

Right. I played X3: Reunion a hell of a lot and used XTM along with some other mods. An awesome experience to say the least.

I have put off playing X3: TC until now because I've had a lot of work ot do over the last year or two that I didn't want to be distracted from. Anyway I would like your recommendation on some must-have mods to use. I understand that many will say play the game Vanilla first and then mod it for a second playthrough, but X is a game that benefits from mod enhancements even on a first go. Besides, I may only have time to get in one full game before Rebirth is upon us, as I tend to have about 6 or 7 games that I play at any given time.

I was initially thinking of installing Xtended: TC mod, but after reading up it seems like it still has some issues that I don't like the sound of, in addition to it being incompatible with pretty much any other mod/script. Also, I didn't realise until yesterday that it actually changes the Universe itself, and the starting scenarios/missions/characters. I would like to play TC with the regular starts, and with the regular plotlines (which are apparently unavailable in XTC). Having said this, if you guys think I should play the game with just XTC installed (and nothing else) and play that way, I'll consider it.

So yeah, if you guys could help me out in recommending some good mods to play TC with for the first time that don't alter too much of the core game (new ships, wares, commands, sectors, bugfixes, mechanics are all welcome, reintroducing the BBS etc.) that would be awesome. I do know of Cycrows Plugin Manager and know how to enable the script editor in game. I'm just new to TC, so need a few suggestions.

I have to ask, that 'No Civilians' mod doesn't mean that there are no civilian ships anywhere does it? If so, that seems kind of silly.

That's exactly what it does. Civs do nothing but fly around making space look busy, and taking up cpu that the game needs for more important things. Like anything that's not a civilian ship.

Honestly? I don't even notice they're gone, and my game runs smoother. Benefit with no cost.
