When I try to use your plugin manager and point to my installation, it won't accept the X3TC.exe file in the X3 Terran Conflict directory. I tried letting your plugin manager installer update itself, but it didn't do anything after 2 hours. It connects and requests an update.dat file, but just sits there. I am using v2.12 from your website.

I don't have a clue how your plugin manager is supposed to work yet. I'm still looking at the help file. My goal in using this program was to make all ships in the game capturable and able to be outfitted, since I don't agree with the idea that some ships cannot be boarded or will never bail or that your marines automatically get deleted if you try to board say, an Argon Arena, which is a Mammoth TL in actuality.
the version on http://cycrow.thexuniverse.us/ is for x3r use the one here instead.

I've updated my TC game to the latest version and installed all the xtended universe gear thats come out and I cannot get the plugin manager to work.
I've downloaded it multiple times, tried installing all the stuff that comes with it (including C++ stuff) and everytime I try to launch it I get a error message that says: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click ok to terminate the application"

Any help is appreciated.

firstly, what version of the plugin manager did u get ?

if u havn't already, u could try the latest beta, 1.30 RC1

if thats not working, its possible that the data file in the game directory is curropt and its preventing the plugin manager from loading.

u could try delete the PluginManager directory thats inside the game directory

Knew I left something obvious out of my original post lol, yep tried the latest beta and the latest "stable" version too.
Ive decided "sod it" and ive uninstalled X3 and deleted what was left of the directory - i'm currently reinstalling and repatching the lot. I'll let you know if that sorts it out

Thanks, Thechosenone92. That is the link I needed. I got the plugin manager lite working for X3:TC. Looks like I can have some fun with it. I tried making a hive queen and was a little disappointed that I could not dock with it while piloting my broke assassin's mamba. No big deal though. Now I can at least pretend I captured the uncapturable khaak destroyers and other races' orbital weapons platforms and maybe even build some of them myself for added enjoyment.
If you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, you might as well have a little fun.

Oh i LOVE this script! I don't use it to fight against superior enemies or something like that! No but it's perfect for testing... laser, missile, ships, what if, etc.

Is there a way to extract the .spk file so that I can just paste the Cheats script into the various directories?
Another one bites the dust!!

If you download the newest version of the Plugin Manage (1.30), you'll also receive the SPK Explorer tool to pack and unpack SPK archives.

Will using this script to reveal all sectors fulfill the Treasure Hunt plot line requirements? Or will I need to travel along those sectors normally?

EDIT: Ah, thank you very much.

The later. You have to visit at least 92 sectors on your own.

Reply to Carl99:
Long: I could not find the answer anywhere myself, but I had the issue my self, SRM Mod has a nasty little "No docking space" issue, with some shipyards, like the Teldri, had my eyes on that Raven for a while, once I got the rep for it, it was bugged, of course ;) no Capital ships, TSs or M6s could be bought... Used some Clone Mod do duplicate the station (fixes it, it seems) and made a new one at the location. 1000% SETA and a few episodes of Battlestar Galatica later, and the other Shipyard re-apeared. So, reloading a hours-old savegame, to destroy the station, but not cloning it, the one that respawned was able to sell the Teldri M6 Raven I was after :D Xenon, your arse (whereever it is located) is mine!

Short: It will respawn after a while.

That's Improved Boarding, a different Cycrow script package.

If I install this to blow up a glitched invincible ship, then use the Plugin Manager to uninstall it, will my saved game keep looking for the scripts?

I don't want to leave it installed for temptation of using it whenever things get a bit tough (combat or otherwise). But I don't know how else to get rid a glitched Xenon M6 destroying the universe.

___________________________________________________________

Enabling the script editor:

* Hit "P" (Personal)
* Go to "Advanced"
* Hit "M" (Change Name)
* Change name to Thereshallbewings (Capital 'T', double 'l'. Be sure it's exactly right.)
* Your name won't actually change

That enables the script editor. You cannot disable it once it has been enabled in a saved game.
___________________________________________________________

To actually use the script editor once it's enabled:

* Hit "Shift - C"
* Hit "S"

Unless you're in the script editor for a specific reason though, I wouldn't mess around with it too much. All you have to do is enable it as outlined above, you don't actually have to do anything with it.
