to clarify possible misunderstandings here: of course it's not urgent, there's a perfectly good reason why it's taking as long as it is. What with me having some trouble continuing my DiD, I'm in no position to judge others (wouldn't be either way)

I'd be delighted to see the video of my match re-uploaded (as it only went up in low res), and I am sure TJ is very close to doing that.

But seriously real life must take priority - and for me this will not spoil for the delay, but I do appreciate there are all sorts of personalities and ages here and so others may be less tolerant . (I have much age, but precious little personality... :( )

You can't talk. I've got several competitions, a DiD, a few guides, 3 or 4 scripts, and an actual game I want to sometimes play!

(On the XRiddle front, I'm coming up with some before I post it, I'll give you a warm up which'll be the first question.

People say I am not in X3TC. I have been left out. But by my very nature, they just can't see me.

When I last talk to TJ he said he'd have at least one match going during this last weekend.

....Course we all know how that turned out.


@EJ, You'll recall me asking if you wanted to make a wager in the DevChat couple days ago. :wink:


Personally, I think XFF is dead and has been for some time. As such I have no intention of finishing the arena maps I was working on since I don't feel that I should spend time on something that isn't going anywhere.

I defended XFF and did everything I could so this thread could progress and survive (short of doing the vids myself). But now trying to keep this thread alive is like beating a dead horse with a stick. And due to this the majority of people (including the XFF team) who did the testing, coding, maps, information gathering, etc have moved on due to inactivity.


So this will also be my last post for XFF (including anything XFF related) and I'm turning in my Commander tags as well as pulling the XFF link from my sig.

I wouldn't consider it dead. The reason people have stopped posting, I feel, is that due to the lack of new videos, they have run out of things to post about. I don't know what we can do to rectify that if TJ is too busy to be posting though: anyone else keen on recording some of the fights themselves?

Ability to run the fights and record them is the key. High detailed recordings are a bonus.
But it seems not many people can do both.

The next option is running the fights on your own computer to watch the result. Even then some fights will not work properly due to the ai overload bug thing where ships stop moving and shooting. That's just the medium scale battles. The large fleets could melt an average computer...

Would do it myself if the rig were up to the challenge. Sadly it would require some parts, mainly a new everything.
The Italians have just started! 2 Vids online so far.
Or try to get the person doing their stuff to help. That may be difficult though.


We could call it on hiatus for 6 months :shock: (or whenever TJ gets a really long break).

Yeah, I owe you guys an apology. I'm done with XFF. It took up pretty much all my free time and I didn't get anything out of it. I should have told you guys that before so I'm sorry about that. Otherwise, if anyone wants to carry on in my place, feel free to step up and do so. I'd be happy to give instructions if someone wants to do this but has no idea on how to. Otherwise, thanks to all of you who participated and helped make XFF famous and this thread one of the most epic threads ever. :)
