So, for example, if I set camera to -89/0/0 and guns to +89/0/0 that leaves a two degree band to fire on? However, it will still be +/- 90 wide on the perpendicular axis?halo112358 wrote:This is why there are 'dead zones' where turrets will not fire, if place your camera forward of the turret and with the same rotation you'll always have the full half sphere to fire within.

The annoying thing is this: you'll be able to rotate the camera all around it's possible hemisphere, but you'll only be able to fire in your 2' band.

Did you have an X3 installation that no longer exists,
what's your current X3 installed path?
ie The only way I can see this happening is if the prog. detects a
registered X3 install, that is now invalid, so it doesn't ask for the
path.
Either way the yellow open-file icon should open a browse dialog
so you can select an extracted file (ie extracted using doubleshadow's X3ModManager).

Crikey, that was quick,
Thats the standard install location, so there shouldn't be any problem,
except there obviously is.
Are you familiar with regedit.exe,
ie there should be an entry in your registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion\
a string INSTALL_DIR
which should in your case be
C:\Program Files\DeepSilver\X3 Reunion
Is the XModels3DViewer1.1.x.x.exe file in the same directory as the
X3.exe file?
Got to go back to work.. back this evening

Yes, I had problems with XFP & XTM like that as well.
I've fixed that ready for the next release,
but I've also noticed a couple of other thing that the new XTM & XFP
versions are showing incorrectly, so I'm going to have a closer look.
Here's an iterim 'hot fix' so that you can at least view something:
http://www.Exogenesis.co.uk/XModels3DViewer_1.1.2.2.exe
(848 KBytes)
It's just the exe file, so copy it into the same directory(ies) that you've
currently got the model-viewer in, you'll have to make you're own desktop link etc,
cos it's a different .exe filename to the one you've curently got.
Be aware some odd things may show with certain ships (esp. gun laser-indicator positions),
until I can get them sorted out.

From thread the thread "To spray or not to spray??" :

it seemed like a fun idea to support spray shop,
heres a Pirate Falcon in party mood :

Operated with the spray icon in bottom toolbar, brings up the little sprayshop dialog above.

download:
http://www.Exogenesis.co.uk/XModels3DViewer_1.1.2.3.exe
Again this is just the exe, just do as it says 2 posts up, to have this ver. (as well as v1.1.1.6).
(still haven't fixed some XTM glitches)

I installed the viewer into my X3 reunion dir. Then ran this. It says "The app has failed to start b/c x2fd.dll was not found. I can see 1.1.1.6 viewer in the directory. What am I missing here?Dave Toome wrote:Yes, I had problems with XFP & XTM like that as well.

The files installed to the X3 directory by
XModels3DViewerInstaller_1.1.1.6.exe
should be:
d3dx9_29.dll
MFC71u.dll
msvcr71.dll
x2fd.dll
XModels3DViewer_1.1.1.6.exe
(it also uses zlib1.dll, but this is part of Egosoft's X3 installation).
The 'hot patch' XModels3DViewer_1.1.2.2.exe should be put in the same directory.
If the install was corrupted on download, or went wrong for some reason,
somehow maybe x2fd.dll is missing, try reinstalling it again.

Well it was a easy as that. I was trying to run 'hot patch' this from my desktop. Now that I have XTM there are a bunch of new ships to check out. Thanks Dave.Dave Toome wrote: The 'hot patch' XModels3DViewer_1.1.2.2.exe should be put in the same directory.
