hmm, interesting, i will have to test it
turning off bounty hunters shouldn't make any difference

but if thats whats causing the problem, then it should be easier to find and fix

Have just tried to download Bounty Hunter and it flashed into system in about half a second, went to files and it`s an SPK file ?? This will not open ?? Am i downloading right file or what ?? Thanks for any tips.

yes, thats the correct file, you need the Script Manager to open and install it

Wadda Fk !! What the hell`s this Script editor, it`s about as clear as mud, why can`t a script simply be put straight into X3 like it used too. Talk about making something un-necessarily complex !! I`ve installed `Script Editor¬ and Bounty hunters there but cannot seem to put it into game. Come on , were not all nerks who like to over do things for the sakes of overdoing them !!

what exactly is the problem ?

the script manager is used to make installing and removing scripts easier, not harder, once u've installed the program, all u have to do is double click the spk file and its installed

Right, sorry to keep bothering you. All installed. Now how do i activate in game. I thought i had to open Script editor or something. have done so and no joy....... :lol:

to use them, u just enable the script editor, then save and reload the game and the scripts should be loaded, you can check by going to the artifical life settings, and there will be some options for the bounty hunters guild

I accepted a mission, got to the sector where the bounty was supposed to be. I found him docked in a station, how do I get him to come out so I can kill him?

you could try waiting for him
if he doesn't come out after some time, then its possibly a bug that im trying to track down

I know this is totally unhelpful...but what happens if you destroy a station? I wonder if that counts as killing the bounty lol

well, it will get rid of the bounty, but i doubt u'll get the kill for it
i dont really know how they class the killer to docked ships

u could try it on ur own ships, park it in a station, destroy the station, and c what it says destroyed ur ship ;)

Considering ive watched stations disapear that I had docked at that station, your long entry is like this:

"Your ship SHIPNAME was destroyed in sector SECTOR."

Normally you get to know who killed it, in this case, it seems to just, vanish!

Hi, Can any one tell me why pilots keep getting stuck in stations? I`m trying to take out 4 different missions and 2 of them are in sectors that i havn`t yet discovered and the other 2 are sitting in stations and WILL not come out.
I`m using latest version of this script. I pull up tracking info on my Command Console and go through to pay for their info, message comes through where they are. I fly to the station, see them there, wait for a while and even dock and tell them to surrender and they won`t budge !! Any one know why :?

Having the same problem here aswell have taken on 3 missions and they where all docked couldnt get them to move at all.

Will come back and check in a hour and see if hes moved yet

Also notice on mine when you take a bounty, undock and then dock at any station the bbs is totally blank, only just noticed that.

Very cool idea though

sometimes when its blank, it just takes time to show up, so if you wait, it might show up

im trying to increase the speed the missions are generated so it can prevent this, but occasionly it gets stuck somewhere

So any idea as to why the Bounty`s themselves don`t move from stations when they dock there ??

not found the cause yet, but im still looking into it
the problem is it hasn't happened in my game, so its hard to tell whats going wrong

but hopefully ill find something soon :)

I know some people are haveing the same problem but in my game all the targets so far are setting at stations and will not undock. I have reloaded the script , tried to com them and ask them to surrender, that would not work, from what I can tell when I look at the ship it says that it is flying when it is docked. The last one showed 12.35 hours of flying when it had been setting at the station all this time. :(

do u have these ships in ur current game ?
it sounds like theres a problem recognising when there docked

if you have them in ur current game, could u send me ur save game so i can check it out
