Andromeda Ascendant complete mod- HELP!!!

Hi all. I just wanted to ask you for help. We have started one of the most complex mods in the history of X2 and we need help. Our goal is to integrate the story from Andromeda Ascendant SciFI series in a new X2 universe.
So we need all the help we can get.(Sory for my English , it's not my native language, so please be mercifull) We will require someone to help us with textures , sounds , scripts and caracter animation(If possible for cutscenes). If you feel you are skilled at any of the above , post a reply on this thread or mail me at serrapphym@yahoo.com
You will get , of course all the credits for your work. Help us make you famous:)

And you dont need to know anything about the Andromeda. I will feel you in about everything and i will provide the necesary files. (And for your curiosity , we are 3 18 years students that enjoy space sims. We dont have much time to work , so we need help) Just contact us if you know how to do a texture , help me with the script or mix a sound file....

Im afraid I cant help with the mod, but Ive got to say that I will be watching your project closely, I loved Andromeda while it was on and look forward to testing your mod out. Im more than happy to help with beta testing if thats any help.

tthe problem is, most of the ppl who have been doing mods and scripts have now moved to X3

Yes , i know. But i dont only need scripters-i can do this too- but i'm completly dezastrous at texturing. I will put this a post on other modding forums too and i hope i will find someone to help me. Thank you anyway for replying!

Well the models themselves can be used for X2 AND X3.

If you keep the Polycount low, that is.

It is the material definitions that do differ.

Btw, Modified has already made a Glorious Heritage and Albathros[THU] is working on something similiar.

Have you already contacted them? (They can be found at the german forums)

OMG! 4000 is too much? I will have to use all my skill to reduce the polycount. With full smooth i have something over 8000. Anyway, could you tell me the complete username of albathros?
It looks like it's no such user on the forum

I think it's too much for a simple M3 on X2 engine, but i'm not a specialist. Regardless of the video card the player is using, X2 3D Engine is rather slow, so the less poly the better.

Dunno about albathros, sorry.

Ok , thank you anyway. And I agree , the X2 engine is VERY slow. I have a 3500+ amd 64 with a (I know , it's old) radeon 9200 and i had to deactivate AA. But regardess of the engine , X2 is one of the best games i've played...

well according to my Blender an Argon Nova has 4500 Polies and an Argon Titan 8200 (without guns).

Use half the Polycount and you can have more ships in a fight without fps issues ;)

Well , this is good as one of my fighters has something about 2700 poly. The Andromeda has 12000 so it will be a hard work to lower the polycount

Hi Albathros. Well , i had already started modeling a swarm ship and i now have the plans for a nietzchen cruiser. But i need someone to take care of the textures and some parts of the script. We could work in x3 , but as the mod consist of some scenes with >500 ships i dont think it will be playable(at least not on most computers). The problem is , i've seen the series from 1to 5 about 3 times , but i'm now trying to find it on dvd or vcd(it is not available for sale in my country so i must use peer-to-peer networks) because i cant find screen caps at a high enough resolution. Anyway , we could spare a lot of time working together. Please post an answer on this thread or give me a mail(better!!!) at serrapphym@yahoo.com

yes, thats my problem too... i had finished the work on oracle-drone and i use the glorius heritage from MODIFIED... now i build the magog world-ship (i dont know the english name of it)

other question? where are you from? ;)

The thing , I and ALbathros are workin at the same mod , but with different stories. Is it possible to make alternative endings/startings(I mean , you decide at first if you will blow up the Hephaistos system with nova bombs or evacuate and... well you know what will happen). Anyone knows :? :? :?
