ok new plugin is up ..

however as Deadly is not home and cant add it to the mod you'll have to get it here ...

its a freebee-site and the zip is pretty big (for freebee-site standards) so I hope the site can handle it .. else try again a few minutes later and it could work again ..


Edit; anyone noticing the Trident turrets not working .. eeehhm ..its a feature ..;)

just testing it a bit further (with the new plugin you provided Red Spot, thanks! :) )

Still having all the problems i have mentioned (incl. the Odin's with no model flying around. the asteroid base with no hull and cant be docked etc.) :cry:

also noticed that the Darkship has no model either (i.e. invisible and most probable has no collision detection).

dont worry about it tho, i bet its all easily fixed :D

Actually, that would be correct as far as Star Wars goes. The B-wing was produced by a completely different company/race to the X-wings and A-wings.

Actually, that would be correct as far as Star Wars goes. The B-wing was produced by a completely different company/race to the X-wings and A-wings.
i dont know the star wars universe as much as the avid fan (i just seen the films and love the lightsabers and jedi stuff :D ) but it was just opinion and i said that i was sure that is they way they wanted (and what you wanted :wink: )

I'm having the same problems as Dioltas As Dia. I have redowloaded the file, i've dl the new plugin and still the same stuff. I've also got no idea how to start the missions or get the new ships or where to find the new shipyards. I've tried docking with my M6, I've docked at other stations with my m6 (That seems to work, really cool!) ANd I have completed the plot.

I also seems to be getting CTD's for the first time when I load certain savegames (one saved before the mod and the other after installing th mod. I think It has something to do with the less roids part of the mod, not shure.

Any thoughts? :)

ok little update .. (just added 1 line of code to a script ....)
(advised is to re-download the scripts .. not required ..)


to anyone having trouble;

-first download and install this mod

-than download this the zip found here ..(the plugin etc.)

make sure you have selected the right mod-package .. and start a new game .. or pre 1.3 save..
if you use a save with the preview version loaded .. weird things may happen (they shouldnt .. but when I try to load the new mod over the preview-mod.. my cockpits are messed up etc etc .. so dont do it!!)

if you use a save-game (specially a 1.3 save-game) .. than certain 'features' will NOT be in your game ...

again make sure you have the correct packages .. cause without there is no plugin/missions or certain ship wont be there/are buggy ...


Edit;
about finding the Roid-Base and SYs .. they wont be easy to spot ..

the roid-base will be spawned at sector 8-8 (unknown sector next to Montalaar)
if it gets destroyed it will respawn in a random 'unknown' sector ..
(as there arent that much unknown sectors it shouldnt be to hard to find)

the SYs spawn in a sector owned by [race] if that sector has an ED and not a SY ..
however you first need to know a certain amount of [race] space before they spawn ..
if you dont know enough space of any of the 5 main-races than there will be no SYs .. meaning no missions (exept for the 'main' mission)..

Its all in working order now (afaik :) ). I looked at the Roid base and it has full hull and is dockable. as for the shipyards, i have still to find one so ill be looking about.

Some bugs on playthrough:

-Trident docking will not work. Ships will go through the docking procedure and then slow to a complete stop a short distance from the ship.

-Trident turrets inactive

-Trident (I love this ship) front windows are lacking the light bloom present on other viewports

-Darkship is missing its model (or model number is wrong in TShips, haven't looked)

-Some ships still use X2 textures (Grendel, Sulaco, Roger Young)

I'll post some more as I find them, but excellent job on the scripts and ships nonetheless!

:? :? ok, now I'm confused (and slightly frustrated). Is this mod for a 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 or 1.31 game? I've tried it on 1.3 AND on 1.31 and things don't seem right. I've explored pretty much most of the uni now and I've got sats in most sectors and still can't find ANY new shipyards.

Problems
- Still can't find ANY of the new SY (my race relation is good enough to buy TL's from any race and M1/2 from the Argon)
- There are still odins and stuff flying around the "pirate" roid base
- The "Pirate roid base is owned by me and still has no hull

Things that do seem to work
- My m6 can dock at any staion now though and I havn't tested the docking of a TS at a TL etc.

- All pirate bases now look like the one in the unknown sector just right of montelaar
Here is exactly what I have atm.
- the DDRS_ShipStation_Mod_V1.0-RC3a.rar file I dl'd 2 times (once before DeadlyDa posted about the wrong plugin files and one after)
- the DDRS ShipStation Mod V1.0(RC2).dat data file with security file in the mods folder.
- the new DDRS.rar file and installed the new plugin files in the scripts and t folder
- the game patched to 1.3 on the first few tries and patched to 1.31 on tries after that.
- A couple of script installed from various other projects but it didn't ask to overwrite any script or text file when i installed this mod.
- The mod is selected in the mods packages list
- The script editor IS enabled

This is a game loaded from a savegame saved BEFORE I installed the mod (1.3 Savegame, will try a 1.31 save just now). Also I did not dl, install or play the preview version of this mod

I not angry, just frustrated that I'm not flying around in a B-wing with a squadron of 4 X-wings and 8 A-wings flying escort :roll:

Try starting a new game (example: Custom Game)

I did that and everything is working fine (apart from i cant find the shipyards :shock: ). Save games will have the Odins flying around afaik.

Its for 1.3 (i dont have 1.3.1 installed) but you cant load a 1.3 savegame.

Maybe that'll help

trident docking works fine in my game (ai goes about it in a very dumb way .. but it works ..)

Nope, hours and hours of hard work scanning all those secotrs :)

I looked over my stuff again and saw a few scripts in my script directory that shouldn't be there (one was ddrs.something.preview) so I assumed that the first dl I made and installed had the preview script in them. I deleted all ddrs scripts and all the script in the dl's and reinstalled all the stuff and patched my game to 1.31.

- no more odins flying around.
- base still had no hull and one shot kills it (it shows it has 60k shields)
- still can't dock at base

- Found one SY in the sector above the yaki home sector called the split mercenary warf. This thing had the Banshee (shouldn't be there), no x-wing, Mjollnir (shouldn't be there), Trident (shouldn't be there) in, just to name a few and ALOT of other ships the split SY shouldn't have in (According to the readme)
It seems that the thing still has the preview data SOMEWHERE. I deleted all scripts I could find and reinstalled all the other scripts first DeadlyDa's and the DDSR thingy.

that'll take me days to get enough cach and rep to get an m6 and weeks to get enough rep to test out even 1 of the new cap ships...

as a side note.. how the heck do I begin the missions? nowere is it stated how I begin the missions, only that I need to be in a M6

60GJ of shielding ... you still have the preview version in there ..

and about the not wanting to restart .. than dont use it in the 1st place .. it has been said clearly that this is a Beta ..

about the SYs .. they show up .. wether you explore 'by script' or not ..
however it seems Deadly has messed up somewhere when it comes to the SYs cause they are set up as stations and show up as stations on the sectormap (normally SYs show as the 1st station .. these dont ..)(wich I did not have when I was testing things in an earlier version ..)


also I've found some weird behaviour when it comes to the patrols .. they dont seem to recognize their own homestation (might have to do with the 'weird' SYs .. dunno yet ..)

Again .. a new version of the plugin ..

changes;
-patrol has been improved
-missions script has been 'fixed' (small problem with it not calling missions exept for the 'main' one ... :roll: )



added a version number .. wich simply represents 'month-day' (in this case v1-24)

*you do have to restart again for the changes to have full effect*

ok v1-25 is up ..


I know for sure everthing works with the plugin now ..
(have been doing some missions myself ...and they are .. ehhm .. annoying .. :D (j/k) .. they sometimes require you to act faster than I had expected .. but that just adds to the fun .. :roll: )


download and install the v1-25 .. and dock at the roid-base ..
if you own an M6 or larger .. or know enough sectors .. missions will be offered (for sure this time .....)

Hey deadly how about putting some of the old X and X2 ships in game with updated models it makes sense that they would still be around in reserve units or in pirates hands. Ships like the elite, ell, etc would all be great to see back in game.

ok, started a new game as I accidentally saved over all my ones where I finished the game.

After finishing mission 1, I go to the temple and jump in that big ole barge to cover Saya's tush.
Problem is when I get in, the turret is all weird, like it is inside the ship, and it cant even fire at the drones.

Anyone else having this problem ?

I have reinstalled everything from scratch, and I still get the same thing happening to me.

Are you able to target them, or the gun isnt firing when you press the trigger ?

Also check its set to auto-aim.

All,

Sorry to have been MIA.

This business trip is eating my brain.

My meetings wrap up tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, and I should be home by mid-day Saturday (US time).

I'm ready to drop at the moment, but will try and find some time to answer questions tomorrow evening, before I fly out for home.

I'll get things cleaned up, write the "complete" readme file, and upload the next version over the weekend. (I'll try for Saturday evening.)
