[Mod] Highway Lane Change Sound Replace

Hi,

are you guys as annoyed as me by that sound in highways when you change the lanes?
I did a tiny mod, where the sound is replaced by a different more subtle one.

HighwaySoundReplace

Just unzip the files into your XRebirth\Extensions folder. (If the extensions folder does not exist yet, create it)

A sound change for some of the sounds when slipstreaming behind other ships is needed, too. Some of those sounds are so treble-high I have to take off my headphones.

Thats bugging me too. Maybe i can find a solution for this, but for now i want to play rather than searching for sound files ;)

Well everything you need is in the X Rebirth - Modding Guide

I just replaced the sample in the sound_library.xml for that specific sound with another existing one.

is it possible to have various soundtracks for the highway that are played randomly? maybe in the same how it works in combat situations?
XR Station Match Finder 1.1 <-- check ideal station combinations (for best use of mass-traffic)/production/resources + ware finder.

I think it is a bit more difficult for highways, because the music for them is split up in different parts depending on your speed. At the moment i also do not know how to implement my own sounds files. Maybe they are not properly formatted...

Be careful, if you want to disable the mod (ingame menu/extensions) the save become incompatible

Oh and it seems that the LRS sound too has been modified :?

Oh yeah, forgot to remove that. Was part of my testing around.
I will update this version after i got back from work.
