As long as you can somehow get rid of all the debris there, its an excellent sector.

It all depends on your goals and needs.

I find the sector east of Mists of Elysim good for EQ docks, HQ, etc. Not so great for self sustaining complexes, unless you can import ore and silicon.

Another great one is the US east of Montalaar. Good space and decent roids. The US near Queen's Harbor is also a good candidate.

I find the US to the west of Xenon Sector 534 to be top notch for mass producing weapons and missiles. Best to have an M2 or M7 for sector defense just in case, but I've never seen any Xenon go in there.

Ya, the sector in between Montalaar and new income is a good un', I think it used to be called Avarice, anyway, I have a heap of factories in there and my PHQ, It's nice to see a previously deserted sector humming with life.

What is the story with that sector anyway and it's name?

Back in Reunion you could buy Avarice from a bankrupt Teladi.

Then why did it become an Unknown in TC rather than keep it's name?

The player in Reunion went bankrupt as well after buying it, falling into unclaimed status.

There are two ways I can think of, and your choice depends whether you are OK with a ***Modified*** tag or not.

1) Get some big missiles and blow those stations up.
Advantages - Keeps your game Vanilla
Disadvantages - As Presidents End is still an Argon sector, You will lose massive rep with the Argon, you'd think they'd be grateful

2) Open the script editor, and use a script which allows you to salvage debris
Advantages - Keeps your rep with the Argon
Disadvantages - ***Modified*** on your game.

Someone else may know of other ways.

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and select the debris process.

Advantages - Keeps your game Vanilla
Disadvantages - This technique doesnt work

Jump to the S&M system. Dock at the Script Library, and use the Destruct Hotkey.

Works great.

Presidents End-Debris.

Post by David Howland »

Presidents End is the location of my PHQ and I have been very satisfied with it. After intial attempts to remove the debris I learnt to live with it.
There is plenty of room for my needs despite the debris and my complex next to the PHQ, supplying Ore. I am at the moment producing my first 3 Arans and found no difficulty in manouvering the Aran into my PHQ.

The debris actually came in handy two months ago when my PHQ after 10 months peacefull production came under attack from a Khaak destroyer backed up by 2 clusters. I found the debris vital cover from the destroyers guns as I in my Dragon delivered more firestorms from close quarters than it could stomach. I left the clusters to my M1,M2&M7 defence patrol to mop up while I landed at my PHQ.

I wish you, the success I have so far had in Presidents End and may Egosoft go with you.

:fg: Hi, -My PHQ is in Avarice good sector, but lack's the riods for large production. David Howland thats interesting. I get some random attacks as well from a Khaak destroyer backed up by 2 clusters. I think when that happens its one of our only few times in the game to get some Khaak blueprints, as they only bail outside of there own sectors. I was wondering what do you do with 14,000 ships. What to you get up to with that?

Its not what it seems.

Hi Stephen,
I must admit I have much admiration for your impressive stat.s. Do not get over awed by my ship stat.s, most of my (ships) are clouds of laser towers placed at Xenon gates to assist my capital ship patrols combat the ever present Tin Can threat. They are not very effective but one has to develop every tactic one can, to suppress the danger this game will not allow us to totally eradicate.
May Egosoft be with you!
