x3 reunion graphics settings
I noticed that there are not many graphical settings for X3R. Is there anyway that you can make the game look even better? Like a config file or something?

To put your mind at ease, we don't have any settings like that. Perhaps you can have a look at your graphics card driver settings. They sometimes have sliders between quality and performance. I've never noticed any difference though.
Come watch me on Twitch where I occasionally play several of the X games

Ok well I must say this I love the support giving to this game compared to something like Oblivion. Every one there are egosoft does a great job. Thanks.

I'm just finished X2 and am about to start up X3 when I noticed that absolute lack of graphical options (including running it in a window in anything but HORRIBLE resolutions). This was understandable with X2 considering it's age but is completely NOT acceptable in something newer.
The curt, rude, and completely imbecilic response to the OP here makes me not want to give another dime to your company. ANYONE with half a brain that looks at the options available can see there are very few graphical options presented.
Of course, the standard idiot response is "Well why run in a window anyway, der der der". Because some of us LIKE to run in a window. Maybe we have other things on our screens we need to watch out of the corner of our eye. Maybe we use dual monitors and running full screen stuff screws up our window alignment. Maybe your crap coding can't keep a mouse locked on your game (as I had continually happen in X2) and running in a window is necessary to keep from constantly switching back and forth from full screen.
Your game runs fine at 1776x1000 and it runs fine in a window at 1280x1024. There's NO REASON why it wouldn't run fine in a window at 1776x1000, but I can't set that option because you only have 2 4:3 resolutions available for windowed mode.
Instead of giving a smartass answer, you should have just answered the damn question.

Well WTF NOT! That's just laziness. That's just saying "Well, if you don't like it to look the way WE do, screw you. You know what I f-ing HATE HDR Bloom. It's annoying. I turn it off whenever I get the opportunity. If you're going to be making PC games, you need to give options for the players to tweak the settings how they want. That's not something that puts a PC gamer's mind at ease.To put your mind at ease, we don't have any settings like that.

Well KaylaKaze you're not off to a very good start here at the forums for several reasons.
1. You've necro'd a 15 month old thread on your very first post.
2. You flat out insulted two moderators who work for EgoSoft.
3. Lastly X3:R is approaching 6 yrs old, X3:TC is working on 3 yrs. And ES is a very small company, they aren't swimming in cash like the gaming giants (i.e. LucasArts, THQ, EA) so they do what they can with what resources they have.

The community around here is amazing! no trolls, no assholes tryin to ruin your day.. you ask a question, you get an answer

Love you Egosoft.. You should teach UBIsoft and EA a thing or two..
