[Script] Empire Status Report 1.020 [Updated 12:20 GMT 30/03/07]

Empire Status Report 1.020
===================

Empire Status Report SPK
Empire Status Report ZIP

SPK Requires Cycrows script installer to install which can be found here:
Cycrows Script Installer

========
Information
========

Inorder to use this script you will need to set an action key by going to:

Options -> Controls -> Interface -> Get Empire Report

whilst in the game.

This is a script made from Kilrathi Avenger's idea
It is designed to allow you to see current stats on your Empire in X3.
This is version 1.000 and so there is more that can be done, but when you download you will probably come up with more suggestions for things to put in. When you do report them here. I will try to add what you want (so long as it aint stupid)

Version : 1.020

->Now counts satellites and lasers
->Gives total value for all your ships, wares, and stations in your possession both individually and all together. You can use this to calculate just how much money you have managed to invest successfully, it may take a few seconds to run now though when you start getting large amounts of stuff, I already have gone past the point which it will display my total asset worth, this is because the max amount possible to show is 2,147,483,647, there is no way around this that I can think of, because any calculation above that switch to negative numbers. But you can still calculate the value manually by adding the single values together (Ware/Ship/Station). Unless of course you have 2 many of them 2 :)
->Now also counts stations in complexes

Version 1.000

Displays:

->Your name
->The ship you are flying
->Your current location
->The money in your ships account
->The total money in all your stations
->The total money you have in the game
->The Number of stations you own(does not include stations inside complexes, 1 complex = 1 station)
->The Number of the types of ships you own
->The total number of ships you own

Nice, I'll try that! :thumb_up:
But how can I trigger the report? Is there a specific command?
Do you know the one -- "All I ask is a tall ship, and a star to steer her by..."
The ship is yours, you can feel her... and the stars are still there.

You have to set a key via options -> controls -> interface
its at the bottom called "Get Empire Report" then when you want to see it just press the action key, you can only do it when not docked, I didn't use command slots because I didn't want to waste them. There are instructions in the readme but I will put them on here also.

Cheers

Im afraid it may be set out quite complicated, I will try and organise it with explanations later, I need to go home soon (for the weekend) and so I wont have x3, which is why I always try and do as much as I can in the week so people can report back.

If you think of anything to add please tell me and I will see what I can do.

Thanks Shovinus

Thsi is even better than I was planning. :lol: Have another idea if it is possible along the same lines but to have a similar page displayed that shows details of pilots from the Terracorp fleet package. I know they show individual reports but this is very time consuming. There is a display available but only when pilots are part of a task force. a simple page just showing.

Name / Ship (or type) / Rank / Kills

A. Glynn M4 Cadet 0
F. Gonzalez M4 Cadet 1
A. Hause M3 Rookie 1

This would be very neat and provide a quick overview.

Also posted this in the TerraCorp Fleet Forum page.

Ok will look into after I have finished the Player Owned Shipyards Script, it is almost done but I am going on holiday for 2 week on friday and the next 2 days I will be busy, so you may have to wait a while, if you can show me screenshots of what goes wrong it will speed up the process. Thankyou

No if there is a problem it will be somewhere in there, I did not create it very organised as it was more of an experiment than anything, so I need to straighten it out when I can. I was just hoping people would give me more ideas before re-wrote it, never mind.

Would it be possible to show a profit made total.

(I'm assuming here that the game knows the overall total of how much you have spent and the calculation can evaluate it compared to how much you have made)

Bit like a Profit vs Loss account for any business !

If a players figure is low or In Red Then he may be over spending or not investing very wisely !

Do you mean like every hour it shows how much the player has made/lost? I don't know I think maybe thats not really possible. But I will think about it.

Ok yes it is possible, I will make it store the amount of money you have at the beginning of a timer, then after 10 mins it will check to see how much money you have now, it will compare the 2 and display the difference, if it over a certain amount it will display green, if it is close to 0, say +- 1,000 it will be yellow and if it is under that it will show as red.

Hmmm, maybe so !

How about if it was really simplified?

ie - What you have spent vs what you have made = profit/loss

Christ... if you can get it to work I may use it at home to balance my income/expenditure... :D

EDIT - Oops see you have already figured it out...lol (show off :wink: )

@OP: have you looked at Birdman's XU Stats and Company Assets? Sure, they are "offline" methods, but similar.

Yeh I can even have it do an average, just simply keep adding the new value to an array, then it will sum the amounts and divide by the array size (minus one as first index would have to be null). If the array reaches a certain size, (say 144, thats one day) then it will just remove the 145th array value and insert the new value at 1 good huh?

I have been missing a Networth calculation in x3 since I started.

By Networth I mean - How much is your assets worth?

This can be calculated in different ways.

The accual cost when you aquired the asset
The value of the asset now(how much will you get in the bank if you sell the asset now)

Many players have spend million and millions of credits in complexes, and it would be fun to know how much is you current networth.

I think Freelancer got a networth calculation build into the game, it would be fun to have that in x3.
