It works fine without using any addon file unless thats something steam orientated.

As a fake patch (last number) its immediate and works on every vessel :p however i don't like the oversized cockpits for m6's and m7's so i will give it a miss and wait for psc01 to update his.

Thank you both for your help. I managed to get it working. I share your aesthetic concerns, but it is better than not having cockpits at all.

Ok, update on ADS. Seems to be working great.

The problem i was having in the past was ADS: Wings Edition was bugging out on me, but looking at the thread it seems to be a problem with that script.

Ive been useing ADS with a fix and also ANachron Carrier Command software - Scramble with it (which is a ADS Addon) and so far working great.
The mongrels will never get over THIS wall.

Do you have a link for the Anacheron script ?

With a number of versions not working it would be great to post a link to the ones that are working if possible. Then by the time the manual is available there will be a list and links of compatible mods and scripts :-)

Started playing at X Beyond the Frontier and Tension, and I'm still here at X4. Brilliant games until Rebirth and now x4 manages to regain some of the past glory. Lets hope x5 continues in same vein and not another "rebirth".

i don't think that patch for lucike's scripts is good anymore.

build missiles command is popping up in additional commands. on an m6 and on a TM. when i select it i get the "normal" configuration menu for a ship (resupply, hull repair etc.)
most likely the patch itself is problematic...

i have EST, hangar tool, MDM and prospector.
Split say NEED MORE FIREPOWER!!

I believe its the ANCC -SCRABLE add on for ADS

Says AP , but Anarkis works on TC as well .

Yeah, I've just noticed that. As I said, there might be underlying problems...

Although so far clicking it only seems to bring up the ship interface menu, nothing 'game breaking' so far. Will need to test more of the other features however.

Confirming that EST is working as intended.

Have quite a few EST's setup with different configurations, and left it awhile to see if there was any adverse effects. So far I've not detected any issues with it, and it is working in conjunction with Basic Salary, which is also working fully as intended.

anachron13, who created ANCC module for ADS, has a fix/change for ADS that when you tell them to attack target, it brings up a launch window where you can select your target and they ACTUALLY attack it instead of just attacking the closest thing. I dont know how to figure out the post # so i can direct ya to the post but its on the ADS thread on page 23.

Just put the 2 files in there in your scripts directory, over righting the old ones.

@Thrandisher - just click the little icon next to where it says posted date and time and it will reload the page so it automatically aligns with that post. Then copy the URL and it will reference that post.

@Hargreave - it is very easy to alter the comm distance using the plugin manager. Just run it in advanced mode, and in the advanced menu (I think :) ) select "Edit game globals" or something along those lines, I am not on my computer right now, so I can't be sure. In the list that pops up scroll down to the line that looks like it has something to do with comm range and change that value to whatever you want. Save that and run the game and you should have a longer comm range in game.
1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

Archive contains a catalog of "types", there are three files:
Globals.txt - increase the communication range of 25km to 75km.
IconData.txt - no floating icon.
Jobs.txt - no Civ (Removes civilian ships from the game.)

Copy the extracted folder to the root types TC + XTC game.
If someone does not correspond to one of the three options, delete the file directory.

There is a option in the AL to turn off civs, soso better to use that then the txt file.

@jack775544 thanks! I dont use forums that much so on other forums out there, if its almost like that then i feel like a fool! And thats because ive been on bbs's for about 27 years now. Yup, i feel like a idiot now, lol. Going back to edit that post now.

Yes it is. But it works in a way that removes the only civilian ships in the player sector. In other sectors still are. any change in the sector by removing a player runs the script with him (and only him) civilian ships. Changes Jobs.txt file, remove the civilian ships permanently.

did a fresh, clean install of XTC...

page 2008, id 1221 sys CMD_XTC_BUILD_MISSILES
1222 is for buildig ammunition

previous installl with lucike's scripts and patch for 1.2 says
for 1221 : COMMAND_TYPE_SHIP_21
and for 1222 HANGAR MANAGER

build ammuniton command is at 1229, and build missiles command is nowhere to be found.

as much as i can figure it out, lucike's patch for 1.2 shifts location of XTC commands, but it would appear that it doesn't work for 2.0.
the problem is definitely in the patch.

EDIT: deleting 7213 pck file seems to restore XTC functionality, but the hangar tool command is gone :D

FIX: this works for me http://cylon33.googlecode.com/files/7213-L044.rar

the problem was the patch used the same slot (1228) for Config and B.missiles. I changed Config to 1233

Ok i have now got an issue.

Added Codea & Ads and tested and they all work fine.

Now i sit down to have a serious go at being a pirate and if i use the sea shanty start i explode immediately as if i have chosen custom.

Have tried the base install and its exactly the same. Sea shanty explodes on startup. Is anyone else having a Sea Shanty explosion ?

Hmm, just tried it myself and yes, i blew up right away also. I wont have time for next 2 day's to do some research and more testing, but it is bugged out for me.

might want to check the last 10'ish pages or so on the xtc thread here to see if anyone else has had that also.
