Took me some time but got it working
Let mines work seperately (my mines went in but astros stayed behind so let them out)
Just drop OOS all your stations in sector wherever, command "crunch", then "hub", then fi "north" (direction hub)
Write down what you put in if not fi Xadrian complex calculator cannot help you!
Then IS tell TL drop CCK point to hub, next to one of of the modules,
till only hub stays ! (you will need less cck then normal)
My complex "Weavers Tempest" :
9 x SolarPP XL
19 x (Cahoona + Cattle + Crystal) (all L)
3 ore mines total +- 600, 2 Silicon mines total +- 560
Removed all rocks with removerock , compressed astros to those 3 o + 2 s
Complex is producing now : gain +- 6-7.000.000 CR/hr !
Cost : about 360.000.000 = 14.600 % a year ! (easy money)

Result , clean sector, huge profitzzzzz
Somewhere someone said could not dock at the hub : use a ts, not all can dock, surely not my m6, m2, m1 (only on the ext hub!)

1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

The only thing that *might* be version-specific is TFactories. I cannot imagine that a v3.2 TFactories could mess up a v2.5 game; if anything, it would be a superset of older versions.
So I would expect Complex Cleaner to work fine in 2.5. Why not try it and report back, peppy?

I agree with DrBullwinkle, but understand your concern, Peppy

This is how I do :
1) make a copy of the folders you are changing into (fi: t, scripts,...)
2) make an extra folder to put all your mods, scripts ... in in the original form you got from internet, Extract all you have to in the same folder and put a note in the same explaining where and what you change for this one
3) Put everything in place following the "mod"-instructions that came with it or that you can read where you downloaded it
4) Start your game and check it out, if everything works properly then FLY, FLY away...
5) If not you look at your notes, delete the files you put in following your own notes and put back originals (from your copy of iriginal-folder)
Her again the good "mods" explain you how to remove itself
All this to make sure you can always return to your last working setup
EASY WAY : If you have room for it copy each time your entire X folder , change all you want, try out, no good replace the original X folder with your copy

While leko's tip for backing up the entire game folder will work, it is unnecessary for Complex Cleaner. (If you *do* backup your game folder, remember to backup your saved games as well, because your saved games must match your installation).
The only vanilla file that Complex Cleaner changes is TFactories, and it is done (correctly) by means of a fake patch. That means that your game files are unchanged by Complex Cleaner (other than the addition of the Complex Cleaner files).
So go ahead and install Complex Cleaner. It is one of the most commonly-used scripts on the forum.

I agree , no problems with this one, was meant in general as I spotted some fear of installing mods/scripts.
Ellse you will know when it is to late (as with DOBAG, but found luckily the file that blew up my ship in every safe, so, better careful than dead).

this seems to have installed correctly, but i cant seem to spot where the command console is to use it. there is a chance that i cant see it because it wont work with 2.5, but i am really hoping im just blind and cant find it. 
note- checked up top and made sure i was in a boat with a tractor beam equipped (mammoth).
also- did i read it wrong or can i NOT crunch an already made factory >:O

The Complex Cleaner command is in the Customs menu on the command console of your ship. The command is at the top of the list and the is highlighted like "Complex Cleaner".
Did you install the correct mod for your game? The instructions assume that you know how to do that. The easiest way is to change the correct .cat/.dat pair to a fake patch.
LV's Tutorial - Installing mods and scripts to your game has nice pictures, which can help. Note that the tutorial has not been updated for AP. In AP, scripts, t, director, types, and .cat/.dat pairs go in the addon folder. So addon\scripts, addon\t, etc.
Post again if you still have trouble.

complex cleaner v409 installation/upgrade FAILURE

crap i missed something, probably obvious
^in game message on load
tried once install manually same message, also tried x universe plugin manager lite, which installed the same way i did except automatically, same message
important note-the option for cc has appeared but after typing crunch it does nothing (unless i rly cant crunch an alrdy made complex of 25ish factories) i have yet to try on a new set of unconnected fact.

Here is Complex Cleaner repacked for easy installation with the Plugin Manager. Works for both TC and AP. The PM will automatically renumber and install the fake patch into the correct folder.

drbullwinkle i must thank you, this has worked. i have great respect for your abilities with modding and scripting and am thinking of trying a few of the things you have posted. i saw them and am very impressed with your work. obviously i can't even install this properly
so i am amazed at what you can do

please note: as i downloaded the lovely package made by drbullwinkle i noticed it said that the tfactory files were based off of version 2.7. i tried it anyway, and it worked in game.....until i tried to leave the sector i was working in. i cannot leave through any warp gate without it freezing on a black screen, nor can i utilize my jumpdrive as i get the same black screen.

Which automated "trade" or "transport" software works best with it ?
I use AstroidFusion and my 5 mines(on huge astros) in Weavers Tempest
did jump to the complex without the astros (Normal? AstroidFusion? )
Found this odd so left them out the complex and put some traders to "connect", now , they always fall asleep on the job - My boots get spoiled "kicking" them back to it.
Maybe you know a good trade solution, it's normal they idle but they should wake up by themselves, is there a way for internal trade without having to set stupid prices going from me to me and draining the money from the complex for nothing ?

Its now a big closed loop, adding facts to it for my own production needs, so I merely look for transport.

All traders work normally with Complex Cleaner. All are controlled by pricing.
With your traders at default settings, you will have to add funds to your station; that is how they work. CAG and CLS can be set to zero profits for internal stations -- see the appropriate threads for details.
Note that CAGs must be trained before they can sell, and they spend a lot of time on "Idle" when they are untrained.
My favorite traders are Mk3 Optimized Universe Traders (UT's). They will do almost all trading tasks, and they do it automatically. All you have to do is to set prices. I build up 20-30 of them over time (mostly with stolen TS's).

That must be caused by Asteroid Fusion. You do not need Asteroid Fusion with Complex Cleaner, obviously.

Hi guys
got a problem with CC, i do play AP with xrm mod and when i install CC some stations get <invalid> name. Now i did play TC and i remmber that CC was working awsome with xrm back then. I did try both fake patch instal and .spk file and on this i get <invalid>, did merge tfactory with xrm and all worked fine until i wanted to connect the factories and it didnt show me any factories to connect with complex kit. Each try was with clean install, xrm and bonus pack. Anyone got any idea how to fix it ?
