i keep having problems with that sector..
iv been trying to fix it but more problem comes up..
does anymore else have this problem?
plz check it out for me:
Unknown Sector (east of Zyarth's Dominion)

Any change to universe is applied after starting new game , so you cannot solve the issue using old saved games.

But you can move your ranks and property by this script to new game.

Any change to universe is applied after starting new game , so you cannot solve the issue using old saved games.

the problem im having it is not the solar system. it is a sector that is part of the Terran plot.
i change the map by moving the planet about 1000k from the gate. some time there is an read error when i reopen the map that i just change...
i tested it out by STARTING A NEW GAME... still i blow before X3 can complete load that sector..

Absolutely totally and utterly VITAL mod.

This does more than add asthetics but add immersion and a very real touch of atmosphere. 10/10

100k Draw Distance Compatibilty

Hey all

I just tried this mod with the 100k draw distance mod from avicenna

This mod was not compatible, because both mods edit the TBackgrounds file.
Because i really couldnt play without the 100k draw distance mod, i made them compatible.

So here is my mod, which seems to work with Immensive Backgrounds:

I took all distance values from avicenna's mod.
If you install it as a false patch, make sure that it has higher numbers then Immersive Backgrounds!

I didnt test all sectors, but it seemed to work in the few i tested.

Just as a by-the-way, the link posted a few times back for the save converter only links to the topic. Uninformed users may download and try to use the X3R-X3TC converter by mistake, which I doubt functions properly. The X3TC-X3TC converter can be found halfway down the 4th page or at this link.

Because i didnt get any feedbacks, and my file already got downloaded 37 times i think my mod is working. So I decided to write a manual for my mod:

My Mod makes the two mods
"100k draw distance" from avicenna
and
immersive Background compatible.

Installation:
1. Install the Immersive and the 100k draw distance mod as false patches in your X3TC direcotry...
2. Download my mod and install it as a false patch too. Make sure the number of my mod is higher then the two other mods...
3. Play and enjoy the beautiful backgrounds and the draw distances of "100k draw distance" :)

Is anyone else having issues downloading Magogs file from Mediafire? I was trying yesterday and it kept giving me an error, and I just tried again then and I'm still getting it. I have no issues downloading the RC1 file (also from mediafire) on the first page.

Would some kind soul please re-host magogs file elsewhere (ie rapidshare or something) so I could get it? It's such a tiny file so it shouldn't be too hard.

how can I change the universe map to be a 2d grid format, I have rc1 and magogs update, so this is why I am asking here since the map is magogs update...

Frustrations east of Zyarth's Dominion....

Several month ago, when starting a a new game, I installed RC1 along with a X3_univaerse file produced by TrixX, fixing the insta-kill beyond the east gate of Zyarth's Dominion.
It has taken me this long to get around to persuing the Terran Defender Plot again, after ammassing a large fleet of SF Mistrals with several energy, weapon and weed complexes and 200M+ Credits. Unfortunately, as soon as I passed said gate... BOOM.... It appears the Universe file I installed 6 months ago was not fixed.... (Tanx for the try, TrixX).

since this sector is the next step in the plot, it is broke, and now I have a good reason to start a new game with Magog's V1.1.

My question is this: Are there any visual cues unique to this fix, that I can observe, to confirm that I have the fixed version? The new universe file is in the "MAPS" directory (3/13/2011). It will take me a long time to get arouond to Zyarth's Dominion.... Any noticeable difference in some local sectors adjacent to Heretic End, would be helpful...

On a side-note, has anyone started XTC? I am interested in in Eye-candy. Have the graphics been enhanced on this mod, similar to Immmersive Environments?

I will been interested to see X:R and the new graphics... I expect it to be Stunning...

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO STOP THE INSTA KILL IN UKNOWN SECTOR EAST OF ZYARTHS DOMINION???


Sry for the all caps but this is extremely frustrating!!! Does anyone know how to modify or what to make it so that I dont instantly blow up as soon as I go after the Split TL in the Terran plot that is fabricating terraformers in the "uknown sector"?

Its REAAAAAAAAAAALLY making me mad! ARGH!

I will REALLY REALLY appreciate any help anyone can provide...

thats a map issue, theres an add on few pages back that fixes that, unfortunately it requires a restart...
