Tubless Complex Mod ?

This past weekend I was able to build a couple of complexes for the 1st time in Argon Prime. I noticed once I did this my FPS dropped significantly. It is like a slide show when approaching my comlexes now or even when I'm in Argon Prime.

I seached online for a solution. The only thing I could find was the "Tubless Complex Mod"

I tried putting the cat/dat files as is in my X3TC directory then loaded my game and the mod did not work (tubes still showing on complexes with high FPS.) I tried renaming the cat/dat files to the last numbered cat/dat file in the main directory and the mod still did not work.

Any suggestion on what I am doing wrong or a better solution to the high FPS in AP due to my complexes?

Selfmade Tubelessmod in few steps:

-Create a folderstructure in your gamedirectory that looks like

[...]X3 Terran Conflict\objects\v\

-Now create a txt file in that folder.
-Enter:

Code: Select all

/# these aren't the tubes you're looking for

-Save as "10445.txt"
-Rename the fileextension from ".txt" to ".bod"
-Copy it 2 times and rename both new files as "10446.bod" and "10447.bod"

I finally got the "Tubless Complex Mod" to work. I don't know what I did differently, but I went back reinstalled and rename cat/dat files to the last numbered cat/dat file in the directory.

It was still a slide show in Argon Prime so in addition I had to lower graphic settings as well.

Nothing can solve that except if you limit yourself in a lower stationcount per sector
