Yes, it does.

I got it to work and the battle was shorter than I expected. I'm assuming you guys don't mind me recording with the HUD on? Cause other wise you won't be able to see all the ships and their hull/shield statuses.
So it's over? Or was that a test?

If so it's a bit unfair on the winner if they lose next time. :p

Shame that (for this) you can't replay the action. You know - once watching the pretty lights (Hud off, external view), once watching a particular battle as the two flagships clash, and once one each fleet in the sector list.

But, it's still a very interesting exercise.

Now, if I was more familiar with Visual Studio, I'd have knocked up a fleet calculator which would help in building the fleets with compatible weapons, missiles and check costs...

Been thinking about doing something to extract the weapon info from TLasers & TBullets, would be easy to change it for something like this, if I'd got anywhere with it :(

I have no problems with the HUD being active, unless anyone know of a way to have the HUD off and the ships hull/shield bars be on the left/right side of the screen (one side for each fleet).
Plus I want to see if my wager was right. :)

What do I care for the HUD? It's not that big and there will be more important things happening (like big boOOOom) I can watch. Glas the problems have been sorted.

For this I might suggest making liberal use of the left and right target monitors. Perhaps giving focus to each fleet's biggest ship (on the slow fly-by setting), so we can always see what's going on at the focal points in the battle, while the main cam is zoomed in on a particular interesting part of the action.

I've run the fight three times over and every single time, [spoilerremoved]'s fleet won. :twisted: I think this happened because of the M1.

I recorded all three times but I think only the last recording is good. I'll be posting it on youtube soonish after I've edited it. (There will be no commentary for this match.)

And I've updated the fleet list.

Absolutely no way all that can fit. I just ran the numbers.

Total cargo space needed: 1,531.

The problem is the missile loadout. Hornets take up 3 units of cargo space per missile and Thunderbolts take up 6 units of cargo space per missile. Those two missiles take up 900 of the 975 cargo space.

THAT'S NOT FAIR! If you gave them shields it's probably over a 150Mcr difference, It's just not fair... :cry:

(I'm actually being serious, I wanted a decent equal fight, not an all out slaughter)

Eh? :?

Neither fleet has an M1. Though Ashkrowe does have an M2 (Python) carrying CFAs that it can't use. :roll: I'm excited to see how the battle went, mind!

i have decreased the Missiles to 50x!Cargo Space for the Ammo and Missiles: 850!enough? or to many?

Nope, that only cuts 450 out. You need to find a way to cut out 131 more units. Ditching 65/66 crates of Mass Driver ammo and 65/66 crates of Energy Bolt Chaingun ammo will put you at the limit of 975. I'd probably do a 30/101 ditch for MD/EBC respectively.


Edit: Sonofa.....I screwed up on the CIG number, I had it as 125 instead of 150.
