Rome wasn't built in a day; take your time and make something great!
If you just wanted to explain what the games are about, the trailers already do that in a good 2 to 3 minutes.
Fan videos elaborate on their favorite part, or they show a segment of their game play where, typically, there's a lot of action.
Your enthusiasm is great, but you get in what you put out. Making these quick videos that copy the same outline as official trailers will net you a small response unless you do it far better(considering that you will have to try really hard with your unofficial video to surpass the unattainable content shown in official releases).
Just think about that before you run off and make something everyone's already seen or known, or they don't want to see. You have to make an impression on your audience, leave them wanting more. The director's chair is yours and for a few moments you get the oppurtunity to show people a masterpeice. Don't waste your oppurtunities!

HHHhhhhmmmmm!!!!!!!
Off the top of my head (so will probably bit a bit lame, oh well) I was thinking of the movie focussing in on a single fighter (good guy) belting along towards an unknown installation in an attempt to get to this ancient machine.
Pan back away from the ship to see other ships in the distance, pursuing.
Camera zooming past the ship to one group, to a small fleet of Yaki pirates, then the camera swivels around to see a small fleet of Khaak and zoom in, again for some Xenon.
As they all get close to the installation there's a flash of a jump drive, but you don't see what's jumped in, just a lot of weapons fire onto the pursuing fleets whilst the original fighter is taking evasive and scarpers.
The pursuing fleets get decimated (by this new enemy of which we have no info) and you just get to see a sillouette disappear into a nebula or cloud etc.
Then the usual 'Trade, fight, think............survive?' X3 Reunion
That's the best I can come up with at this time of night. early start tomorrow.
Hope it helps.
Saw your other X3 trailer. Impressive!
(Please ignore any spelling mistakes, I'm tired and can't be AR*ED to proof read)

Indeed once I get my backside into it, make something a little different

"There must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe can be said to be zero, From this it follows that the population of the universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination" - Douglas Adams
