Hi,
It seems the community is a bit struggling with this feature since years. Since there is none reachable comm ranges somewhere in the macros or in the md. Then, I got you :
Extended Communication Ranges (Vanilla 7.50)
The mod add a a "lore friendly" way to extend comm range, by adding a button (thank to SirNukes API) and calculating the time its need to reach a target depending of its distance to you ship (all this with a little effect on the HUD).

Re: [Mod] Extended Communication Ranges
This is great...yes I struggled too to find a workaround because default params make no difference. In XRSGE distances are huge so the 40km for a stupid comm is really...weird.
Thank you! Sir Nukes api needed I suppose..any workaround for not needing it?

Re: [Mod] Extended Communication Ranges
Yes it's needed to add the button and trigger the cue,
I saw that iomatix has published an updated API on Nexus, I'll check it out, but unfornutatly, for adding an Interaction or listen on a key press, I'm in need of an API
I wasnt aware of the depreciation of SireNukes API, you're not the first telling me it's obsolete (or maybe you dont want any API at all?), what problem does it cause ?

Re: [Mod] Extended Communication Ranges
I did not use it recently, due to be only testing my mods, so to avoid others interfering or causing a bug I can't nail. But if you read the posts and bug reports on the nexus page, there are many descriptions, mostly the right button not working I think.
I saw the new community api too, this is good news because too many important mods depend on these api. Yours is definetly needed
