Hello friends!
Is there still a way to import X3 ships into Blender? I managed to open the X3 .bod files in Gmax, but I can't export the ships into a usable format for Blender. I think I heard that you can convert .bod ships into .obj using a text editor. Is that possible?

Hmm. I can't use 3ds Max—I'm not a student. And I don’t want to import them into the game; I just need to convert them to STL. Is there really no way to open .bod files in Blender without 3ds Max?"

None that we know of; .bod format is woefully outdated and Blender simply does not recognize it (Egosoft themselves are only been using Blender for like two years, they've been using 3DS until not long ago).
