find_station | checkoperational | functional

i'm trying to understand when a station goes between componentstate.construction and componentstate.operational

does checkoperational=true only find completely built stations?
if it has any destroyed modules, is it not operational?

what's the difference between operational and functional?

The state of the station object itself becomes operational when any single module is finished building and it remains in that state until every single module on the station is wrecked.
