This aims to unify our understanding on how station managers transfer money.
Whenever player-owned station managers' bank account updates, the manager will check whether the account balance is >150% of the "recommended budget" amount. If yes, then it will transfer the extra money above the "recommended budget" to the player account. However, each station manager will hold onto at least 100k credits worth of money and will refuse to auto-transfer if the "recommended budget" is somehow below 100k.
Combine this fact with the mod to enable player-to-player money transfer, and suddenly late-game money management is easy: you just semi-regularly dump money at the top of the economy chain (e.g. your shipyard or your trade station), and the money will trickle down to each lower level station down the production chain. Eventually your basic factories (e.g. energy cell array) will get some money, and can then use it to buy from other player-owned stations or from NPCs.
There is no such thing as e.g. "2x/3x the budget amount". Just "accept estimate" and then the game will handle the 150% for you.

That mod is called Player Faction Accountant, for anyone who is curious.Vectorial1024 wrote: ↑Mon, 8. Been waiting for this, either as an official thing or a mod, for ages. Instantly subscribed. I hate that my stations selling stuff to my other stations could go into a deficit because they weren't being paid for the sale.db48x wrote: ↑Mon, 8. At my place of work, we still pay (or have cost transfers) from one department to another, even though we are the same company, because tracking where the money goes, even within an organization, is very important.
