Problems with station Managed ships

Post by Deeparth »

I have 2 nividium mines a couple jumps away from my solar power plant and my xenon hub station which also stocks energy cells. Yet the freighters homebased to both the mines stay docked even when the mines have run out of energy cells. At least they can be controlled so I can periodically make them fetch energy cells but its pretty annoying. This isn't a problem with other mines. I've even given the solar power plant its own set of subordinates and added the mines under the supply stations field but the subordinates keep trading with other factories not owned by me.
Another problem is that my drake is docked at a silicon mine far away with a hold full of silicon wafers but won't move. I can neither force clear the homebase like in 1.1 nor supply it with energy cells in case the blacklist was making it behave this way. There seems to be no way to interact with it.

Edit: I used another ship to refuel the drake. Its still not moving though. It has a lot of cargo that is needed by my HQ.

One potential cause of this is the price of Ecells may be too low on your mines. You can manually change it, or put Automatically Adjust Prices. You may also check to see if trade jumps is set to max or not, I almost always bump mine up to 50. If that's not it, then i dunno.

Yep

Edit: I've sent a Truelight Seeker to the station with the Drake to try to refuel it further in case 300 e cells isn't enough for it to jump to The Void Alpha. You'll see it in the save.

Edit1: that didn't work.

Edit2: Please re-add the ability to force clear homebase from a ship.

The issue is that your station doesn't have any funds, so it cant send any ships to buy wares
the station manager and its ships will only use the stations account

The Drake already had wares on it. I even filled its hold up to the max but it didn't move. Its also homebased to the Spacelab which, in the save I sent you always has a minimum of 1million credits. It has 3million+ now and the Drake has an empty cargo but it won't go back home even with 600 e-cells in the cargo. Also, it would be great if you could revert the change that removed the ability to force remove home bases from ships controlled by station managers.

I can see how it would be beneficial under some circumstances to be able to remove single ships from the Manager's control, but is there a problem with just removing/reappling the manager to start your Drake back up?

I think we'd all be bored if X3 didn't have some quirks that cause us to scratch our head :D
